I saw the greatest comment on an article about a clock in Mecca that they would like to be used as the center of time instead of Grenwich. The article mentioned that Mecca is 2 hours ahead of GMT. The comment was that Mecca is 500 years behind the rest of the world.

I suppose that would mean we have to give Manhattan back to the Delawares as those beads were by no means a fair trade either, if they were even given beads.

Can we start by giving California back? We could just make it a safe haven for Illegals and then pull a Max Zorin and move the beach inland.

Connecticut News, Weather and Traffic | WTNH.com : Enfield BOE meets to discuss church graduations | WTNH.com Connecticut

I hate it when Athiests get uppity about a venue, like walking in the building is going to make them forget their own core values and make them religious all of a sudden. If it does, it wasn't the building that did it, but rather a latent religious bent that they were trying to keep down. They are like homophobes when they act like this. Religio-phobes. I am athiest, but never had a need to act like I was alergic to anything religious. Maybe I am just comfortable in my faith, or lack therof. If the venue was suitable and/or priced right, it shouldn't matter what it's purposes are on some other day.

Breitbart.com : Family asked to pay for car damage after dog run over

And was the driver distracted, how fast was she going in a residential, was her car in good repair? At 25 mph which is normal for most neighborhoods, you should be able to stop in 70 ft. That is the width of one lot. In my neighborhood, there are kids running about and playing, chasing a ball into the street, and we avoid hitting them not by any act on their part, but rather by being responsible for our actions and staying alert and maintaining reasonable speeds. Unless the dog jumped out from behind a parked car and surprised her, the driver should have some culpability.

Which is exactly why I have issue with this being a bill from State Farm. The bill should be from the courts.

You can concealed carry in AZ anyway. They made the 'license' optional. As long as you carry a legal firearm and aren't breaking the law, it's all good.

1000 ft is 2/3's the length of the carrier and at 350 mph (The speed of a WW2 era fighter), covered in 2 seconds. If they had opted to go kamikaze on the ship, it would have been bad news for the ship.

And if you knew any geography, 1000K or 621 miles put you in India, the other side of Saudi Arabia, or the Caspian Sea from the Gulf of Oman. The whole of the gulf is about 150 K wide. Are you really an idiot or do you just play one on the internet?

Breitbart.com : Homebuyers scramble as mortgage rates jump

They shouldn't have ever been this low in the first place. Low rates increased buying power with the expectation of paying it off in 30 years. This inflated the price of homes because the buyers weren't concerned with normal inflation and that the house price increased 400 times faster than the rate of inflation. They saw that they could get X house for Y per month. If the rate had been higher, the house would have sold for less and the payment would have been the same. The banks would have had better income on their solvent loans and wouldn't have needed the governement to bail out the insolvent ones....

Oh the UFCW. The only time I worked for less than minimum wage was under a UFCW contract in California. They are so beyond useful. I left working for Vons in CA to go to work at Trader Joe's who offered better benefits than the Union stores. My benefit cost at Trader Joe's was less than what it was at Von's and I didn't have to pay dues. Add that they included higher pay, and retirement contribution (at the time it was 17% of my income without me adding a dime) and it just went to prove how much better things can be without the bureaucracy of a Union in the background.
