I know it sounds almost funny, but the the states surrounding the Great Lakes have, over many years, done a remarkable job in restoring the fisheries in the lakes. This was a major investment and had a good result. The Asian Carp is a real threat to that effort. The question is, will the fed-gov strategy produce results or a boondoggle? That remains to be seen. My hope is that science will trump politics and that local control will prevail over Washington control. We will see.

What it is, simply, is a waste. There are important issues in the black community that could be addressed effectively by an organization with the stature of the NAACP, but they choose to squander there resources shilling for a failed liberal ideology.

You hit it Cincinnatus. At the political gatherings that I attend there is no shortage of railings against the "incompetent gasbag politicians" who are in charge, but little blame is accepted for how they got there.

Bad politicians are a symptom of a problem with the electorate.

Let's see... stopping the" illicit traffic" in arms = arms go only to UN approved governments. Well isn't it great that soon those governments will have a monopoly on violence.

Q. What do you call a situation based on UN "blue hats" running around America grabbing guns.

A. A target rich environment.

Technology has certainly changed things. The media is no longer mainstream or peripheral, it is relevant or irrelevant. And size, it seems, doesn't matter so much.
