One movie was positively meh, the other was good. Not worth the ticket price good, but good enough that I didn't feel totally ripped off. Every other movie I have watched has been a Redbox rental. When you eject the disc and the general mood in the room is "Well, it only cost a buck to rent it.", that's not a good sign. And it's not an isolated incident. It's movie after movie after movie. BBT's dry, understated portrayal of the title character is near perfection, especially the opening voice over monologue. John Ritter's last film performance, although small, is brilliant. Bernie Mac (his death was another big loss to the world of comedy) is spot-on as the chief of security. Cloris Leachman took a one joke character and mined it for all it was worth. And if you can watch the boxing lesson scene where the midget hits the canvas without wetting your knickers, you just do NOT appreciate comedy.
