Tortex Green for me (.88mm). I used Fender mediums for years, then Fender jazz picks for a while, but switched to tortex recently after I used a friend's. I'm intrigued enough to try these Jazz IIIs...

Nice write-up, thanks! One type of tuner that I use that isn't mentioned here is the clip-on type like the Intellitouch PT-1 (http://www.amazon.com/Intellitouch-PT1-Tuner/dp/B... or the Intelli IMT-500 (http://www.amazon.com/Intelli-IMT500-Backlit-Styl... I've had both, but use the Intelli now. These tuners are fantastic for solo acoustic gigs, or anytime you aren't plugged into your electronic tuner.

Here’s mine: http://www.22frets.com/2009/03/my-guitar-rig/ Amp: Peavey Classic 30. I re-tubed this amp about a year after I bought it and absolutely love it. New tubes are 3 Sovtek 5751 (pre) and 4 JJ EL-84s. Effects Pedal: Digitech RP-2000. More than I could ever need. On some tunes I play without it because the amp has a nice warm punch that gets softened a bit with the pedal effects. Guitars: My main axes are the G&L S-500 and the Takamine EG-45SC. Also pictured is my Greg Bennett LaSalle JZ-4 jazz box. I have a few others (don’t we all…), but these are my main workhorses. Future: I love my setup. I’m looking at a new acoustic for fingerstyle playing for my next bday. The Tak is great for strumming, but its weaknesses are revealed in fingerstyle. I’m leaning Taylor 816ce ($$$). At that point I will also want an acoustic amp. My RP2000 sometimes goes a little crazy on me and requires a ‘reboot,’ so I’m keeping my eye on that–usually when it gets too hot, so I try to remember to unplug it between sets.

You've already mentioned mine...Phil Keaggy. But I would also add Doyle Dykes. Both have expanded my musical vocabulary. Looking forward to checking out some of the others listed here that I haven't heard.

Hi Mark. I'm new here, so hello and thanks for putting yourself out there (I actually found you on Twitter first, which lead me here). I am working on site for my music projects and using the same template you've got here (pixeled, i think). Anyway, I'm hoping to overcome some of the legibility issues by using a better typeface and larger size type. So I'll be digging into the style sheet. I'm happy to share what changes I make in case you want to stick with this template & make it more legible (versus going an entirely new direction).
