Does anyone have an accurate estimate on the tea parties.I've heard from 250,000 to 700,000.I thought someone would have gotten an honest estimate by now.

I believe America for the most part is a conservative country.Her are some of the reasons I believe this. 1)Talk shows like Rush,Hannity.Inghram,Beck,Levin are far more popular then left wing shows which always seem to fail. 2)Most of the left leaning newspapers are near bankruptcy. 3)All the left leaning tv.news shows have very poor ratings. This tells me most people don't want to hear or are not interested in listening to the left. If in fact this is true then why are we the minority?Is it because we are disorganized?Is it because we are not united and lack leadership?Is it because we're just to lazy to get off our butts and speak up?I think the far left is a small minority in this country yet they are running this country.Anyone have any opinions on this one?

This 5.7 billion dollar increase in volunteer programs is the reason I support the tea parties.This is one more reason that I believe the people in washington just don't get it.This was a bi-partisan bill that has just increased our debt after 100,000's of people protested against this massive spending and debt.We can't afford the programs we already have so why would you want to expand them.This is incompetent and insane!!!If anything you should have been cutting money from these programs.All the politicians want to do is make everyones life easier at the expense of the tax payers!!!Aside from a bit of unemployment here and there(and believe me I payed in my share) I have never gotten any help from the government nor do I want it.This 100 million cut in spending is such an insult I just can't believe they think we're all that stupid.

I'm not saying Democrats ruined this country!!!What is ruining it is special interest groups ond lobbyists who influence this government for their own personal gains on both sides of the aisle.Every one on both sides just wants to point fingers and play the blame game.This mess were in cannot be blamed on one party!!!This is the fault of a corrupt'self-serving government who only cares about power and greed.The Bush administration shares the brunt of this mess because they were at the wheel but the dems controlled congress and had several people in very important positions who also share some of the blame.Democrats are not evil!!!They are just people with different views and opinions and the purpose of this site is to unite everyone on the common ground that we as a country need to get back to the values stated on the 912 project home page.We all need to take our government back.These politicians need to be held accountable for their recklessness.I left the republican party two years ago because they lost their way and really are out of touch with the people and no more fiscal responsibility.Can't we all just become Independents and get along?

I don't know why your comments weren't posted but I have seen many comments on here which differ from Glenns.I'm An Independent thinker and have a pretty good understanding on how the left and right can minipulate people into believing everything they say.I personally believe Glenn is truly genuine and honest in his reporting and he may disagree but is fair,decent, and not ignorant like some others.I believe he is trying to tell the other side of the story that the main stream media won't do.Don't give up on this sight!There are many people here that would honestly like a nice open debate on important issues.I believe the large majority of people her are open minded.I don't think Glenn is a phony but the way things are now you have every right to be suspicious

I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion about climate change.Personally I think its a hoax!!First it was called global warming then when they found out the earth was actually cooling they changed to global climate change.I cannot believe the government will pump Trillions of dollars into something that is still so contraversial.Nobody has convinced me beyond a reasonable doubt that climate change is man made.We had an ice age that melted millions of years ago and that wasn't man made.Weather and climates naturally change over time.This new claim about over weight people contributing to the problem is just another part of the hoax.

I believe the tea parties were a huge success but we need to take it to another level.I honestly believe we need to reach out to the Independants and Democrats and make them feel welcome to join this movement.Lets not make this republican and no politicians should be able to speak at these events.Let the every day average Joe taxpayer speak at these events and only them.Lets unite as one voice and stand together and take our country back from this out of control government.Rep.,Dem.,Ind.,Lib.,and all other parties.Lets come together and in the coming months lets talk about the concerns and things that we have in common and put aside the little partisan bickering and unite for a common purpose.Once we unite then this summer we can march on D.C. and make a statement. D.C. will listen if we Unite!!!I challenge all Republicans to try and reach out and have a fair debate with another party member and find some common ground and bring them aboard this movement.Lets quit bashing Obama and the Dems and focus on Issues,values,and principles.If someone comes on this sight and sees all the bashing going on they will be turned away.We need everyone on board to make real changes.UNITED WE WILL STAND-DIVIDED WE WILL FALL!!!

I was channel surfing last night and ran across Rachel Maddow who was actually laughing about the "TEA-BAGGERS".I took it as an insult to all honest hard working tax payers who are expressing their true concern about the spending and direction this country is going.I e-mailed her asking for an apology because she pretty much thinks we are all a big joke because we are supporting this movement.I'm also concerned about politicians speaking at this event.This is about THE PEOPLE!!!Let the people speak.If the right wing politicians and special interest groups hijack this movement you will lose alot of support including me.This is a good thing so lets keep it about "WE THE PEOPLE"

I believe the fed should only have the role of the military and foreign affairs.All states should generate their own income and control their own budgets.Each state will pay the Fed based on population and area to pay for defense.The Fed will have no control over the states budgets.If a state goes broke,to bad the feds not bailing you out your on your own!This way the feds can't waste our money and if the state does they can be held more accountable.Very small Fed more state powers no IRS or Fed reserve!!!

I think the best and most effective way to change Washington is for the people to be better educated about the officials they vote for and not just vote on party lines but on values and principles.I believe the government should form a non-partisan committe and establish a web sight that has information about every person who is running for office.This must include a brief profile,criminal record,past voting records if previously held office,past employment,any ties with lobbyists or special interest groups,tax history,a brief explanation on what the constitution really means to them,and positions on all major issues.This would allow every voter to have easy access to information and make a fair evalution on who they vote for.Then after every 6 months the committee will grade them on how well they are living up to the values and principles .After their term is up the people can decide on how well they lived up to these values and either re-elect them or vote them out.

Vote for another stimulus bill to build a double fence with a 50 foot buffer patroled by the military the whole length of the border.This would create thousand of jobs.Then start rounding up and send them back to mexico all ILLEGALS which would create more jobs ,open up more prison space,reduce crime,save money in health care and education,quit draining the government of money and resources.This would probably work better then the 800 BILLION stimulus!!!Plus this would be a long term investment in the future of this country and save billions over the long run.

Mam,please don't give up yet there are millions of people who feel like you do.YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!WE have to stay together and every great american who believes in this project will do their part.Some people have computer skills some don't,some can travel some can,t,Some can walk some can't,some are good speakers some not,some are old some are young,some are well educated some not.My point is don't be discouraged.Just try to do what you can even if it seems small.You can E-mail your local Rep and Senaters at least once a week.(I Do)Write letters to your local newspapers with your views and opinions.This is a big country!Maybe no one close to you is listening or getting involved but alot through out the country are.This sight is a great place for you to express your thoughts with people who really care about the tears that are washing you away.GOD BLESS,STAND STRONG,AND DON'T GIVE UP!!!
