No reason to do immigration reform hasn't this happened before? Before we do that lets do away with all the social services, section eight housing, food stamps, and welfare. You are correct Bob. Purple hearts are not for heroism. Case in point. A new chopper pilot arrived in Vietnam. He went to bed first night in an administration area. The area was shelled. He received shrapnel in his leg non life threatening. Thus awarded purple heart. A lot of military get purple hearts during war, both admin and combat arms. Awards are given very generously in the military. Only the soldiers know if they deserve them or not. Goes a long with calling everyone a hero in both civilian and the military world that if you think about it have done nothing of a heroic act. Case in point female pvt in Iraq that was captured. She was on the nightly news, honored in her home state of Virginia, given a free scholorship to the University of Virginia, and God only knows how much money she made. All of this for not knowing the basic of military functions on how to read a map. Her convoy made a wrong turn and she was captured. Not a hero to me.

MSN reported yesterday of an illegal in Atlanta that got busted. He complained that he had been her 8 years and this arrested caused him to lose his job and now that he lost his job he didn't know what he would do about sending money back to Acapulco to support his Mother and family. What needs to be done his a national tv crew needs to come to Phoenix and go to a school K-12, an emergency hospital room, the welfare office, and social security office and be able to check the citizenship of everyone and put the facts on the table. We could then see the real cost of illegal migration to the US. If you don't live here don't assume like California residents do. Why do you think California is broke?

Gee let me see if I can be fair and balanced. Pay ss taxes and get free education, health care, and food. I think I would like this deal. KPHO in Phoenix reports 6 out of 10 K-12 students in the Phoenix school system are children of illegal immigrants. Go to the hospital emergency rooms in Phoenix and check out the population. I guess as long as I am on here I should mention my niece sitting in her insurance office on a second floor office when she watched a car back into her car in the parking lot and then take off. She had seen the girl who hit her car come from the below dry cleaners. When my niece inquired about her the owners said she was an illegal with no license or insurance. That was the last time the hit and run driver was seen.

Apparently you have not read SB 1070 because what you state is not in this bill. If you are familiar with the constitution it already reads that immigrants are supposed to carry papers at all times while in the US. The problem is there is no enforcement of this law. Let an illegal run into you and injury your family and then jump out of the car and take off running because they are illegal with no license or insurance. Everyone is so concerned about the llegal immigrants that are not citizens, what about the rights of Americans that are here legally? I guess we don't have any!
Mike when you suggest canceling the Iowa game in Arizona maybe you can send some of the welfare money that Iowa has so we do not have to raise our sales tax to cover the class room over crowding in grades K-12 where it was reported in Phoenix that every six out of ten students are children of illegal immigrants. The money also is for the social services and over crowding of emergency rooms where we provide free health care and welfare for illegals. Better yet send airplanes so we can ship to Iowa. Did you see the deputy that was shot by illegals yesterday? Remember there are many Iowans that live in Arizona. I am one of them.

For one McCain is on his way out and I as far as I remember has done nothing for the state of Arizona.
I am trying to think of a reason why it is wrong for the police to check if a person is in Arizona legally. Anyone that knows Arizona knows that 70% of Arizonans are for this law.
We are voting for a 1% sales increase for education K-12 because the clasrooms are to large and for social services. The local news says 4 out of every ten students are children of illegals. Finally social services or welfare is handed out to everyone including illegals.
Obama never mentions his illegal Aunt living in Boston public housing. Let's report the real issues and not just votes for politicians or one sided stories from the Latino population.
