This article has at least one thing wrong. There is more polar sea ice last year than there has been in 26 years. There is more this year. Look up the national weather service's ice desk. The ice is still south of the Pribolof Islands, haven't seen it so far south since the early 70's.

Global Warming yeah tell that to an Alaskan. Last week we had temperatures as low as -10 well below the average for this time of year. Average temperature for my hometown in March is 14F although in 1931 it was 56F and 1971 it was -44F. So we must have been spewing record amount of greenhouse gases for a decade or two before 1931 then cleaned up our act in the 50's and 60's.

My wife and I can't make any of our local Alaskan Tea Parties, but we will be in Seattle on the 15th and Vancouver on the 18th. We need to do something else, something that jolts these people. This is what I suggest:

1. For those of you with any money left in your 401K or company IRAPs. On April 15th ,we all should switch them out of the stocks funds and into a Money Market Funds, your plans should have one. If enough of us do this, we will send the stock market into a sudden crash, could possibly finally bankrupt a bunch of these outfits that have been stealing our money. This would happen on Wednesday the 15th. Hold out through the weekend. They would have time to think of the power we collectively hold. Return the money on Monday. Sounds like fun....anybody else in?

I'm as much as a financier as I am a vulcanoligist so if anyone has a better background in finance would something like this work?

Don't know if anyone has posted about the current volcano activity in Alaska. Mt. Redoubt in on the western shore of Cook Inlet has erupted 8 or more times in the last 3 days. Now I am no vulcanoligist but from what I understand from the gases volcanoes release during an irruption, that currently Mt. Redoubt has spewed more greenhouse gases into the air in the last 72 hours than the world's populous has since the industrial revolution. How is Obama going to cap that! Tax God?
