Guy looks like he needs help. Real treatment help, not unconstitutional legal troubles for what he put into his body. I'm tired of being looted by the government to pay for victimless 'crime' enforcement.
I haven't spoken with any of the protesters myself, and I definitely do not support their anti-capitalism message. It should really be an anti-corporatism message if they were fully educated on the issues. I'm just saying that we should stop enforcing these needless laws that restrict free speech and allow police to arrest non-violent people.
Was Homeland Security, the agency that supposedly is employed to stop terrorists, needed to handle a few Eugene activists that are just hanging out peacefully? That seems excessive to me.
Look, we can all agree or disagree with their message, but as Americans who (supposedly) honor our rights to peaceably assemble and exercise free speech, we should defend them. It is not an inalienable right if you have to fill out a form. I'll leave you with these words:
"First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me."
It is true. Government restrictions on production always hurts the economy as a whole. Some may benefit while the rest have to suffer. Let Oregon decide what's best for Oregon. Not the federal government!
Ballot initiatives that actually remove laws from the books I am all in favor of.
Libertarian platform 2012! Democrats and Republicans have no clue how to solve the problems they've created and are destroying our freedoms and the economy in the process.
Industrial hemp production is the answer to the economic issues you mention.
When every major media channel is owned by 6 mega-corporations, which are in turn run by the private global banking cartel and defense contracting companies, it's no surprise that we live in an age of constant "programming". We are seen merely as consumers and slaves to their system, yet so many people eat it right up and come begging for more. C'mon people, aren't we better than this?
I'm with you, it's sad seeing all of the mindless people worshipping a flag that doesn't represent whatever it is they believe it does. Maybe use the day as inspiration to keep fighting the information war and to wake up enough people so we can take back our country. If we withdraw our consent from the system, educate others, and expose the criminals in government, there is still a chance for liberty in our lifetime.
Fear not! There will be unmanned drones soon in every neighborhood to keep us safe from ourselves and to ensure that no one speaks ill of our wise overlords. Coming to a backyard near you!
