That's what we need more of in America. Anyone who thinks he just flat out called Obama a racist for no reason should listen to the 45 minute explanation, it is dead on. The fact is, if Obama's statements, such as, "White people are inbred with a sort of racial cynicism", would be considered incredibly racist if you switched the races and made Obama white. Is it true that Obama is a racist? I don't know, I don't know the man. But if you hold him to the same standard that Obama himself held the police officer from the Gates fiasco too, then he is. Not to mention the fact that at least 6 of his special advisors have publicly admitted to being communists who have advocated the overthrow of the US Government. Those are facts. We have to deal with facts. People should most certainly stop looking at the world from pure emotion and start dealing with facts. That means that people should be more like Glenn Beck. I don't know about your belief system, but I always look for a physical and non-physical meaning with which to place any biblical text into it's proper context. This verse is no different. If having a sword around were a sin, Jesus would not have ordered his followers to buy any. He did, however, order them to not have too many, and to not use them with recklessness or for oppressive purposes. I believe this would amount to what we today refer to as "responsible gun ownership". I, personally, have a .45 in my bedroom, and since I was a military policeman before I went to college and practice at the range regularly, am properly trained on how to use it. I would not use it unless absolutely necessary, would never be reckless or use it to impose my views on others. But in the instance that someone forcefully entered my home at night in an effort to bring some sort of injury to a member of my family.....I would not hesitate to use it. But where we truly need to make a difference is in getting the Federal Government to govern in accordance with the Constitution. Neither party seems really interested in that right now, or for the past hundred years for that matter. I think that where we can make the most difference right now is in the primaries for each party. Let us go out and find people who genuinely want to govern by the Constitution, get them into the primaries, and then get them moved onto the general election. I'll take an election between a person with a liberal view of the Constitution vs one with a Conservative view of the constitution any time, as long as they both agree that the Constitution is the document that defines how our country should be governed. We can not expect to jump in when the general election rolls around and find a good candidate on the ballot. It will be bad vs bad. We are headed in the right direction, now lets go out and really research the people in the primaries for Congress and the Senate, and make sure that only those who believe fully in governance by the Constitution get put on that general election ballot in the first place. I think that the way to truly get through to people isn't really about taxes, but to show them in black and white that ALL of Obama's policies are completely Unconstitutional. That is not at all hard to do, and that gets peoples attention more than just saying that at some point they may or may not have to pay higher taxes.
