I will take that offer if the money comes from eliminating HUDepartment, liquidate Freddy and Fannie, and any affordable, destructible, whatever housing act.... I don't agree.... They will impose 100% income tax if they could... because the collected money will be redirected to whatever group they think will favor them in elections... Dems wouldn't go for raising the 9% sale tax. That's not their style... their style would be like 0-90-90 meaning sale tax down to 0%, 90% up corporate tax, 90% up income tax. So I think the 9% sale tax while it is another enslaving "stream" , can only go down.

To calculate 9% of your income you barely need a calculator. Can you seat and imagine the monstrosity of non-productive people, tax collectors, enforcers, etc needed to keep the current tax code and enforce it?
IRS has at the moment around 106,000 employees!! Do you have an idea how many buildings, computers, desks.... you need for 106,000 ppl? In the real world you may need 106,000 desks... but in Washington it could be a little bit more than that :)
