I loved this film!! I think I laughed almost continuously from the first 'incident' to the end, pausing every now and then to think, 'That's horrible, I shouldn't be laughing at that!' Dylan Moran was just fantastic. I agree it's a shame the film hasn't scored a wider release, as I think this would appeal to many.

I wanted to see this film, not for any obvious reasons, but they got me offside by changing the name from the working title of 'Elise'. So I'm still curious about it, but perhaps it is good that it's not my namesake...

Thanks Anders! As I've said many times, it's an honour to be part of the team and I am loving every minute! :D

I'm not sure, sorry! It is being released Australia-wide in just over a week, so I guess it will depend on its success here as to whether it will be shown abroad. If I hear anything I'll make sure to post it!

Heath won and Hugh rocked - I'm a happy girl this morning!! Shame about Mickey Rourke, but I guess there had to be one upset!

Is that some optimism I sense from you Anders?! But I agree, all the best to Hugh for the Academy Awards!

Exactly!! Our opinions differ, but that's the beauty of this medium: to be able to express your own personal opinion, regardless of what others think or say. I am generally going to give a hopeful, 'glass is half full' view on things, but if I do, I'll be ready to back it up. We're always going to be criticised on our opinions - that's life and we have to deal with it, especially, as you say, in this type of industry! So in those times when we are polar opposites, we'll keep each other honest, and I think that will make the overall work better!!

Ok, I agree with you that from a critic's point of view, Hugh's career is not as strong as others in the industry. He hasn't had that many critically acclaimed roles, and Australia probably has done some damage rather than good to Hugh's persona.

But I'm looking at this from the point of view of the Australian public, where Hugh's movies have been popular and he is certainly a star in the eyes of the nation. And isn't that sometimes more important?

Of course I'm biased because he is Australian, and also because I am an optimist - I like Hugh and think that he's doing quite well for himself in that fickle place we call Hollywood. This is my opinion, and a lot of people, including yourself Anders, are going to disagree. But I am generally a person who will look at the good and hope for the best for that person rather than cutting them to shreds (unless we're dealing with red carpet stuff, that's when the claws come out!)

I actually did feel privileged sitting in the audience, especially when Cate was on stage! You would think four hours would be taxing, but I was hooked the whole time. If only it were coming to Adelaide...
