I would just like to point out an outstanding column posted by Dr. Walter Williams today:

In the column Dr. Williams points out that 8 states have introduced resolutions validating and
reinforcing their powers as per the 9th and 10th amendments.

A key reference from the tenth amendment is:
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

I think I may be giving my state congress reps a call and recommend they consider doing the same.
