Scroll down to the very bottom of the page, and it shows that I am using StarScape Theme (1.5.6: Scorpius) | Design by: GDragoN. You can click the link down there if you like to visit. I think I just snagged it off of the WordPress site. :)

Geek Treasure : #FridayFlash: Boredom

I am glad to be back in this, and I'll hopefully keep up my rhythm. This #FridayFlash February Challenge is rougher than I thought. It may only end up being like 50-100 "pages" worth of text, but the multitude of topics makes it tough. Hopefully, you will be able to read stories all year :)

Names come easy to me most of the time. Usually I start with a random letter, then add a potentially pronounceable letter after that, then build it to two or three syllables.

Oh, I've been "finished" with the rough draft for a while. It is to the point of going back and revising it. Heavily. Very heavily. The first eight chapters of the draft are posted though.

Fixed the decent problem. Thanks for the call. It is one of those words that slides past me. Glad it made you laugh :)

Geek Treasure : #FridayFlash: Joint Resolution

I am glad you laughed at multiple points. We had a cat for like 18 years, so I am quite familiar with the "You are my servant" aura surrounding domesticated cats. Interestingly, I think this is the first time I have been thanked for actually writing something. I am not entirely sure how to respond to that. Naturally, my knee-jerk reaction is to say "You are welcome," but I paused and thought about it. That is completely the wrong reaction. I should in fact and in practice be thanking YOU, not the other way around. You clicked the link to visit my site. You took the time to read my work. You took the time to comment on my work, and you were positive in all aspects therein. You therefore are what I refer to as an excellent reader. To that end, I simply say that you have done me a great service, and that you are most appreciated for your kind words and visitation. Hopefully, I continue to see you visit and comment so positively.

Awww, Jon, I can't go nailing down every moral to each story I write. Pretty sure yours fits in there some how though. After all, if Con is the opposite of Pro, then Congress is the opposite of Progress ;) And the link back system is way better than RTing every story #FridayFlash produces.

Geek Treasure : #FridayFlash: Joint Resolution

Glad to hear it. It is taking my eyes a while to adjust to still, but the site isn't necessarily supposed to be easy for me to read. It is supposed to be easier for my audience. As for the twitter spam, this also has the added benefit of Track Backs, and it can lead people seamlessly from one story to the next. You can get your feel of #FridayFlash without ever going back to Twitter this way, if you wanted.

I seriously have no idea where I got inspired to write it, but I think it turned out quite comical at the end. That was intentional, and most people that I know have read it snickered and laughed at the end. Thanks for visiting, and I wish people would put the link back to their #FridayFlash in their comments. :(

Geek Treasure : #FridayFlash: The Treasure Box

Nothing wrong with gamers, except that most of the rest of the world kinda regards us (yes, I am one!) as kinda crazy and cult like. Good writing makes people think, and I think showing this at least makes you think for a moment. Right? ;)

Geek Treasure : Pork Gyoza

I have had gyoza before at a few different places. They were the fried variety that could have come from a frozen package or something. Good enough to eat, but certainly nothing to rave about. These gyoza on the other hand... were just, WOW! The chicken broth really adds a flavor kick, and the crispier the bottoms get, the more the pork and chicken play off of each other. And when she says that it can prepare 8 servings, that assumes one of them is not me. If I am eating these, you get two and a half servings.

Geek Treasure : Apple Pie Milkshake

I do not post recipes. Tera posts recipes. I keep them here to facilitate sharing and to show that there are all manner of geeks in this world. Especially since I am a food geek. I have knowledge of cooking, just no ability to do said cooking. Anyways, the recipes are for the food geeks out there capable of using them. And anything with fruit is probably good for you. I think in this case, it is the ice cream that kills its health value :P
