EconoMonitor : Shale Gas Hype: Subprime 2.0?

James, you are exactly right. I have seen hedge prices on gas through 2016. They are far better than spot prices. In addition, as the newer shale plays age and settle into predictable production levels, with lower declines, they will become great targets for MLP acquisitions. The wells may not produce like they did in their first 5 years, but they will continue at a stable rate for years to come.

Breitbart.com : Carter \'pleased\' with Egypt polls

Iran wants nuclear weapons so it can destroy Israel and they have publicly said as much. Why would anybody stand idly by and allow that to happen? Nearly everyday, there are news accounts of Egyptian Coptic Christians being massacred by muslims, that is nothing to be proud of. Of course, Iran would most likely still be a peaceful, stable, pro-western country if we hadn't been plagued with Jimmy Carter in the first place. Egypt would likely still be a mostly peaceful, pro-western ally if we hadn't been plagued with Jimmy Carter 2.0. Weren't you posting about human rights a few comments ago? Where are the rights of the Coptic Christians in Egypt? Where are the rights of Israelis to not live in fear of some islamic nutjob nuking their country? Why do you support Mr. Peanut having a say on the matter and declare that ConstLiberty has no say? Oh wait, I'm using facts and logic with a liberal. My mistake. I'm sure Libya will turn out much better. (rolls eyes)

Breitbart.com : Shooting occurs at UC Berkeley during protests

"If the only people who can come here in the future are those who have money, it's going to hurt everyone's educational experience," No, it would not. Just imagine this statement as it might apply to a restaurant, a movie theater, an amusement park, you get the idea. If the only people who go to X are people who are paying money to be at X, the quality of the "experience" for everybody would improve dramatically.

I think he should be able to have his free education at Berkeley, he just has to teach there for free for as many years as he attends school there. Let his dumb a s s figure out how the world works. I bet it wouldn't take long.

Its really not that surprising if you consider the % of Americans that pay no taxes is about 44%. Why wouldn't they support him? He continually promises them a larger share of the proceeds earned by those who are paying all the taxes.

"Give ME a win, give ME a break." There's so much in so few words there. First, its more ME! ME! ME! talk from the narcissist in chief, but beyond that there is more. He's doing what he has done his whole life: he stamps his foot and says, "I want, gimme" because that's all he has known his whole life, he's never had to actually work. Further, he considers this to be a personal win, he isn't interested in how much harm it will do, he just wants his precious bill passed. Its all a game to him, lives mean nothing, its all about how much of his agenda he can cram through the Congress, consequences be damned.

Big Peace : Halal to the Queen?—Britain’s Stealth Halal-ization

Didn't the mooslimbs team up with the Nazis (via the islamofascist 'Mufti of Jerusalem') during WWII to help exterminate the Jews? The Mufti met with Hitler and recruited 20,000 mooslimbs to join the SS. The Mufti also wanted the support of Nazi Germany and fascist Italy to oppose the Jew's rightful claims to what later became the roots of the Zionist movement and eventually led to the creation of Israel (from lands legally purchased by Jews). The islamofascists were intent on killing Jews then, just as the Nazis were. The only difference is that Nazis lost the war and realized their wrongs. The mooslimbs still think the Jews (and other infidels) should be exterminated or made to convert to islam. Of course, you don't know any of this "vhistory," you should change your avatar to "vdenier"

Breitbart.com : Family asked to pay for car damage after dog run over

If the driver had been doing 250 mph, he/she would have been long gone before the dog wandered into the street. Speed is not the issue. The dog owner has a duty (as defined by the law) to keep the dog on the leash. Failure to do so is negligence per se and will result in the dog owner being liable for any damages that result. It's a basic tort law issue, nothing else. Go research torts, negligence per se, and proximate cause, you will find that State Farm's position is in line with the law (both statutory and case law). It may be an unpleasant outcome for the dog owner and I would imagine that the driver feels badly as well but feelings are not the law, the law is the law. The dog owner could have avoided this by walking the dog on a leash and being responsible.

Ivtalon, there is a reasonable expectation that if you allow your dog out in public (without the leash that the LAW REQUIRES) it may run into a road. Most people understand this. By allowing her dog to run free (in breach of the local law) the owner assumed the responsibility for her poor decision as well as the financial and emotional consequences. The law is clear on this, logic is clear on this, and common sense is clear on this. Why is it so difficult for some people to understand. DECISIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES (since you are into CAPS). The dog owner made a decision and now has to deal with the consequences. Reckless driving? How about this, if the driver had been going 200 mph (very reckless, wouldn't you say), the driver would have been long past when the dog ran into the road. Kinda sinks that argument, doesn't it? You should switch insurance companies. You should find one that will try NOT to protect you, as a policy holder, if some irresponsible person allows their dog to run into the street in front of your car. I will be switching to State Farm because I know they will do their fiduciary duty and protect me as a policy holder.

Yaacov Cohen is right, the reason snacks and beverages are so expensive at theaters is that theaters derive almost all of their profit from concession sales. The film reels are rented daily at a cost of thousands of dollars per day. This is also the same reason ticket prices have gone up so much. The film makers are spending ever larger amounts on their films and charging higher rates for the reel rentals to recoup the expenses. I don't go to the theater simply because its so expensive, I'd rather wait for the DVD to come out and watch it in my living room without all the inconsiderate folks and sticky floors that come with the theater.
