"commie" was also a term used for American children of former members of a Soviet republic. i'm not sure about spouses, i've never asked my Mom is she was called a "commie", but i'm sure she was.

thank you for the reply, i appreciate it. you have the right of free speech, including sarcasm and jokes, but i also have the right to let you know i found your words offensive. criticizing the products of a company, the government or policies of a nation, etc. are one thing. referring to my entire family, friends of the family, my godfather, etc. as "lousy" wasn't something i could tolerate without saying something. also, i'm not sure whether a non-native English speaker such as my father would catch the sarcasm in your words. since he was someone i planned to interview for this site, your words have prompted me to post his interviews elsewhere.

i was called a "dirty commie" enough in school, i'd rather not see that ignorance and hate echoed on this site.

i look forward to your future articles.

thank you, i appreciate the nice words. you don't have to call me your favorite, or hot. you're correct, men who touch my ass get threatened with immediate violence, because i don't play along with the immature "i bet you won't touch that fat girl's ass" game. and i don't kiss men, fyi. i'll gladly accept a handshake or shoulders-only hug, though. :)

thank you for the explanation, but your name isn't "Hycospeed". my issue is not with you. and there is a difference between a commenter making a joke, and someone using that phrase in an article, where they are probably receiving some kind of compensation.
the last people that considered us "lousy" initiated a genocide, so i'm sure you understand why i'm a bit defensive.

thanks for the explanation and the nice words. i thought "pinko" was a slur used against communists. i apologize for being misinformed.
i would say "hugs and kisses" back, but i'm sure you have a partner who wouldn't appreciate that.

unless "lousy" means something different to the kids these days, i'm still offended by it.
