I think that's one of the good things about sites like this -- we don't know a person's color and it doesn't matter. There is way too much value placed on color, and it makes me crazy.
They don't care about credibility! They only want to be on the "winning" team. And they believe all this stuff. I really think they do -- that they have gone so far down this road that they don't know any better anymore.
I haven't heard one word from NOW when it comes to the human rights of women in Muslim countries. If they are speaking up, it must be quietly. NOW is another group whose title is the opposite of what the group stands for.
I call, I write, I sign on-line petitions. What else can we do?

The cancer "industry" is a multi-BILLION dollar business. There are cures out there, but they aren't cost efficient. It's all about money.
Wal-Mart takes so much crap for buying items made in China, but EVERY store does it, b/c that's what the American people want -- junk for cheap. But even when looking for quality clothing at Macy's, for example, item after item had a "Made in China" tag in it, with anything BUT a cheap price tag on it. I have been trying for the last two years to avoid buying ANYTHING made in China. I can say that I spend a lot less at the store. Some stores, like the popular dollar stores, I don't even go into. They might as well be called the "Everything from China" stores. It isn't that Wal-mart needs defending, but I wish the problem were only that small. It's a HUGE, HUGE problem, and it really starts with people being greedy and wanting lots of stuff and not wanting to pay for quality.
You said it. My thoughts exactly.
"Those people", for the most part, are people just like you and me. They want to feed their families, go to work, come home and not have to worry about what their crazy leader is up to today to make their lives horrible. Like so many other countries with crazy leaders, the people under them starve, are uneducated and are worth nothing to the despots at the top.
Wait, I think you're on to something!! Let's send all the politicians on permanent vacations and secretly replace them with people who give a d*** about this country. The pay to the current politicians would be the same, and they would do FAR less damage!
