The law schools are also feeders for politicians, too. How many "non-lawyers" do we have in Congress and the White House? And I'm tried of the worn out argument that you need to be a lawyer to craft/understand the laws in Washington. This is the biggest problem with America - too many lawyers.
The message is pretty simple. The GOP can frame this by using the Democrats words against them. The Democrats originally described this as "preventative medicine". Well, preventative medicine is defined as preventing a disease or injury. So, you can make the assumption that Democrats see child-birth as a disease. How else do you describe this when it will not prevent STDs like HIV?
You can also phrase it by citing some of Obama's colleagues who have argued about population control (Craig Becker). They can also point to Biden who didn't confront the Chinese officials who practice such laws. Obama can't walk back from that since he hired the "best and brightest" to work in his Administration.
So, let me get this straight. Brock steals from Grey. Grey demands his stuff back and "blackmails" Brock to get it back. Brock gives him his stuff back and pays him $850K. I guess the police informed him that if he was arrested, nothing would stop him from talking then. Looks like good, old fashioned hush money to me.
How many "start-ups" do you know that have people making over $300K per year? None that I know of and I work in the start-up world. Entrepreneurs who start companies usually don't get paid until they have a viable product. They understand that money is needed to help development, not salaries. To have three executives make that much just goes to show how they are using our government money to enrich themselves. And it shows how the Obama Administration thinks the start-up world acts. I guess he can campaign on how he turned "greenies" into millionaires on the government dole.
It's time for the GOP to stand up to the media and remind them that the debate regarding religion and the White House has been long debated. When JFK announced his Presidency, this was the biggest topic then. People though Kennedy would put his faith above the law of the land. The Democrats saw no problem with it then, so why do they know? Then they could go on about how Obama is the anti-Kennedy by reminding people that Obama's view is "ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country can do for you".
It's time to turn the tables on the liberals and the media. What better way than to expose the media's comparisons of Obama to every President in the US.
I guess we can wait for Bell to come out and blast the police department for "speaking stupidly". The biggest problem is that the police union will continue to throw money at the Democratic Party, regardless of how they portray their members.
Another one leaves the plantation.
I wonder how many of the 98,000 tax returns with incomes over $500K are attributed to the public sector? That would provide a better understanding of how much the private sector has abandoned CA.
We need to change our voter laws. We should tie in the right to vote with paying taxes. If you file a tax return, regardless if you owe or not, you will be registered to vote automatically. Those who don't file taxes are felons and not eligible to vote. Even people who are dependent on the government have to file out a tax return.
Can you see someone who can;t vote because he/she doesn't file their tax returns getting sympathy from the rest of America?
If "propose a way for the financial sector to pay back taxpayers so that not one penny of the Government’s TARP-related debt is passed on to the next generation", then it would exclude the banks that not only paid back their loans but the interest too. That would leave Bank of America and AIG as the sole payers. It's funny how the auto industry, which will pass this burden onto the next generation, is somehow unmentioned.
