A luxury room has Candace Olsen written all over it! Too bad the current designers didn't take a page from her book! Luxury to me has a bed with plush linens that make you want to sink in. Neither room had redeeming features that screamed luxury. They were bland and boring. And what's up with the trinket stuff? Instead of focusing on some cheap souvenir, give them a carpenter and an extra day to create something wonderful instead of drawing their focus on some meaningless crap no one would want in their room. This isn't craft star! The three judges all have carpenters and seamstresses at their disposal - they supply the vision. Why not give design star candidates the same luxury?
I am sooooooo NOT interested in seeing Antonio as the next design star. I tune in to HGTV to see beautifully finished and polished ideas that I would consider using in my own home. I am not interested in a mafia type bully who talks down to his audience. I have yet to see one of Antonio's designs that I would use. His "cave" was the best thing he has done, and even then, he ruins the custom nature of it with pre-done stickers. I haven't seen a true "finished product" out of him that I would even consider using. Whereas Dan has great ideas - the table he custom built with the opening for plants, the gorgeous apple room, and now this beautiful nursery that is great for children and adults. GO DAN!!!
