I'll give you partial credit on this one. District 9 is pretty much the city limits of Memphis. This is an area dominated by a majority population of "entitlement minded" people. There are more people on welfare than there are taxpayers. Due to corrupt local government over the past 25 years, most of the taxpayers voted with their tail lights and left the city. Some moved outside the city into the county and others moved to neighboring counties. What is left is slowly turning into another Detroit. The local goober-mint keeps raising taxes claiming it's all for the children and other various excuses.
It's not that we choose to elect this a**clown to congress, it's that we are outnumbered here. The majority population (read: majority welfare recipients) vote overwhelmingly democRat and there aren't enough numbers to overcome that. There have been a number of candidates on the Republican ticket, but they just don't stand a chance here. As I stated before, this town is well on it's way to becoming another Detroit and we see how well things have worked out for Detroit.

Unions spend money on politics and thug tactics then demand money from the goobermint when they run out of money.

I do not agree with his agenda to bankrupt this country.
I do not agree with his beliefs (as given by Mr. Teleprompter), nor his politics.

I am having a hard time trying to figure out WHY the leadership at Notre Dame would allow "the chosen one" to speak on their campus.
Could it be they are doing it for the publicity?
Are they hoping for some crumbs from bailout mania?

Such a sad day when the university leadership falls all over itself and become one of the slobbering masses following this person as if he were the next coming...

I say term limits on all elected officials.
Two terms and you're out of there...period.
One more thing. verifiable PROOF of being an American citizen before holding public office.

As far as I'm concerned, the people crossing the border, into our country, illegally are not "migrant workers".
They are "illegal aliens" by entering into our country illegally.
These illegal aliens are a drain on the economy and the legitimate American taxpayer.
These illegal aliens do not pay taxes yet they get health care, child care, housing, jobs, education.
They get more benefits than many legitimate American citizens.
Why?
I agree there should be reform...reform as in ship all illegal aliens out of our country.
Require official photo identification such as a driver's license or an official State issued photo ID before any and all benefits (such as housing, jobs, education, etc) can be granted.
Make it a criminal offense to employ illegal aliens...punish the employers.
Next, build a structure similar to the Berlin Wall.

I feel that it is because of the millions and millions of illegal aliens all ready in this country that makes it hard to gain legal entry into this country.
By putting up a wall similar to the Berlin Wall (4th generation wall) it will act as a much better deterrent than the joke that is the current wall.

I am proud to be an honest born American citizen and I am concerned with the direction our country is headed.

It has to start somewhere.
