Delaying gratification for future benefit isn't something that takes little to no practice to maintain.

A church that attempts to apply its principles consistently? How outrageous!

Carolla's spot on about gov't. Aside from breathless fears about the treatment of gays in this country, Dr. Drew could see the absurdity of over regulation as well.

Later in the podcast, they discussed the viral video of a father who destroyed his daughter's laptop after she had posted disrespectful comments about her parents online for the world to see.

Dr. Drew's reflex to blame the father was disappointing because I've come to expect more from the popular physician. It's not always the parents' fault a child acts poorly on her own. I wager she has few role models in the culture, or among her peers, who would advocate verbal self-restraint.

All i remember about "Love Actually" consists of:

Acceptance of infidelity
The noble, Tony Blair-like PM having to suffer the boorish American President
PR for porn stars
That horrid, horrid song

Except for the love-conquers-all message, I don't see the appeal of this film, the cloaked attack on traditional values it is.

"[Lucas,] put your politics in your pocket [and just concentrate on making an entertaining movie for a change!]"

Regardless Stoklasa's worldview, he clearly has little tolerance for b.s. of any kind. Humble, honest criticism may not be easy and exciting, but it's always needed for improvement.

No moar participation trophies, Hollywood!

Will that "noble cause" intrude upon parental authority? Pols swayed by unfounded hysteria only push for more needless legislation that further inserts lawyers between adults and kids.

"Why do the words bwak-bwak-bwak-bwak come to mind?"

Never having grown up on a farm, I assume those words describe the tap dancing of Stewart's clown shoes distracting viewers from the fact that their future's being squandered by his quasi-religious savior. Oh look, he made a funny face!

Is CNN taking cues from Borat? Hollywood can thumb its nose at the U.S. so long as it sells overseas, but CNN's U.S. coverage doesn't have that luxury.

Unless they wake up there in Atlanta, infomercials will likely be in CNN's future.
