Most of the Hurling stronghold counties in Ireland would have been big into Cricket originally, Kilkenny being one of these & famous Wexford Hurler Nickey Rackard would have started out playing Cricket...so it would be great to see a revival of this & Ireland achieving its ambition of Test Status of 2020!

I get the impression also that a lot of these rioters would do it again if they had half the chance if those 4 'hoodies' interviewed by sky news are anything to go by..scary thing is that they are still children, 16/17 years old - one 16 year old was out robbing stuff for his kid, another looted Currys cos they never replied to his job application & they thought it was their right due to the impending government cut backs. What are they going to be like by the time they hit 30 if something is not done to tackle the issue at grassroots level.
