@Jason- I with you on the "Ooooo-SNAP!" thing. I had to Google "cracking" to see if the term was still current. What I really like about "cracking on someone" or "playong the dozen" is that is was a way for guys to "battle" in a fun, humorous way that did not involve guns and drive-bys. I miss those days.

Thank you, Lynn. I used to tell my kids that they are my favorite son or daughter (I only have one girl and one boy). As they grew older, they tell me that they are my only son and daughter. Even though they have grown wiser, I still tell them this because the sentiment remains. They are my favorite little people on the planet.

Huge compliment. It humbles me. Really. Thank you.

@ezmomm Thank you for visiting Dear Mr. Man. I hope that you will visit often. You're right. Our rock bottom is always someone else's ceiling.

Jason. You've gotta give it a try. Your gameplan (hunting progression) is very similar to mine. I don't plan to hunt deer until next fall, but I am planning to hunt wild hogs in the spring.

It is the war and glorious battle part that I was disappointed in. Certainly not the kids. The purpose of the league was to introduce kids (and parents) to Christ who may otherwise not know him. To that end, we were successful.

@WeaselMomma. It is bewildering, isn't it? Nothing could keep me from kissing my sleeping babies or having them attack me upon my return home. It's hard for me to imagine life before them.
