Sorry to butt in, but Gosling in "Fracture" is a revelation. He might be as bad as you say in other movies; I haven't seen them. But he and Hopkins are hypnotic.

Yes, it had clever writing and strong, consistent characters. The pacing was good (though my wife and I would have loved seeing more of the Gosling/Stone relationship).

But Carrell just played the 40-yr-old Dan in Real Dinner for Sunshine Schmucks guy, and the opening & closing scenes were unnecessary (not because I'm a know-it-all, but because they're patently offensive).

We would purchase the DVD, but those two scenes and the now apparently obligatory "F" shouted in the middle will keep it out of our home. (And yes, sometimes it does suck to be prudes like us!)

There's a whole collector's set of one-named artists* who should be invited:

Krugman, Dowd, Soros, Redford, Geithner, Moore, Emmanuel, Couric, Maddow....

*Though rather than Music these folks express themselves through things like Fiction, Misdirection, Whining... but wouldn't we love to see them hungry and quiet? Even for a day? Please?

I can only imagine what Gutfeld would do with a line like "tone down his bits."

No more conservative knives in this liberal-initiated (and -dominated) gunfight, folks.... Time to Greg-a-logue-'em! RELEASE THE HOUNDS!

I don't want to sign -- and not because I don't love "Red Eye," but because I do.

Can't we stretch the fun out a little longer? I love the thought of G. Soros and his minions (oh, you KNOW he's got minions!) dozing off around midnight, then Gutfeld playing bad fairy all over their truthiness, then George and his Sorosians spewing their mimosas at breakfast the next day because real people are shining lights in their dark corners.

(Note: I would, however, love to see what GG would do to the prime-time dolts who think they've got pop culture nailed.... 'Twould be a joy to behold....)

Your opening statement is insane. Behold the facts:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/07/us-falls...

Once your own child goes through the system and gets only the bare minimum of what should pass for education, you realize the system is genuinely flawed.

"So are you interested in education or only in racial leveling?" Race is a non-issue in this case, so you've totally missed the mark with that pseudo-incisive commentary.

Stick to issues and facts: U.S. education IS under-performing, and the primary focus for its failure has to be, by definition, its educators.

A recent episode showed 13-yr-olds deciding NOT to kiss....

What the what?

Can they do that?

Sad irony: This very forum will make nearsighted libs demand that it be shut down because of its dangerous truths -- yet the blatant falsehoods of the print media* shall be encouraged to march on....

*Is it time to inform them they're killing trees? Don't we get to toss that one back at 'em?

Wrong with America: It takes winning a lottery to be allowed to participate in a superior education opportunity.

Right with America: Bold souls will plan, work, scheme and fight for their children's rights, and — however slowly — more and more opportunities become available every year.

Because of our kids' ages our family wouldn't directly benefit from school vouchers and the like, but my wife and I would be honored to have our taxes go toward legitimate school choice.

Is it a lie? Our evidence is the news story ("aren't allowed to pray," link above) that reported the facts, so maybe we're not stupid.

But hang in there! Keep denouncing others' observations, and once in a while you may be right! Just not this time....
