I have to say. After the last couple games I think that Faye has been the buy of the season for us. We got him on a free, or very close to that (can't seem to remember), and he has been exactly what we need. Always near the top of the rankings on here and an absolute brick wall in defense. My normal nervousness when the other team attacks goes down greatly just when I see that Faye is between them and the goal. Always something in the way or takes it away like the other player isn't there. He may be old but I think he will at least have a few more seasons under his belt.

Official site just announced the signing of Lansbury on a season long loan and that Junior Stanislas has departed on a permanent basis to Burnley. ( of course an undisclosed amount).

So Barrera is finally gone. It has been made official by Real Zaragoza's site. It's in spanish so a translation site was used. I'm not sure what to think about this one. Seems like a massive missed opportunity but he did have a few chances...

Everyone thought that Piq would do very well in the Championship....well it hasn't really happened that way so I have another alternative. We should see if MK Dons will do a player swap deal for Sam Baldock and they will get Piq. well never going to happen but it seems like that the only way that we will rid ourselves with him! You never know... :p

Could be a great signing. I think that just having a striker that is used to scoring (no matter in what league) will have the confidence that is needed in this season!

I'm really not sure what to make of the Barrera situation. Every couple days we hear that the deal for him to go toSpain is being completed. A few days ago on his twitter he even said something about the deal being almost complete (my spanish isn't great). But now we are playing him in the game today. I really hope that something has happened where he is going to stay. I know it is said here a lot but he has a point to prove and a lot of skill and should settle in very nicely if he gets more playing time. Overall, quite a good lineup though.

Another horrid time for Jordan Spence on loan at Bristol City. A half hour into the game and he has a yellow and the team has conceded 2 goals. Thats already 5 goals conceded and none scored this season.
