Hi Ninja, you're quite mysterious. I think I'll try to find time to bring this subject in to the light in a full article, but first I want to thank you for supporting my website. I truly do care about the community and despite being a real estate agent, do think that I can bring positive change to McClellanville without it losing what gives it it's unique character. We've all been trained to resist change and see it as evil, but all things must change and the task at hand is to shape that change into something good. McClellanville's economy would receive a big boost with proper healthcare, jobs, and education, but that doesn't mean we have to have a giant hospital and factory in our back yard. Just as the Dollar General is a good compromise for a grocery store, so are there compromises for these other things.

That's quite a budget. I'm your neighbor to your north in SC and I just pushed my page about my town of 500, http://www.facebook.com/mcclellanville over 500 with a free $50 facebook ad coupon. I had an average CTR of .253% and average CPC of $0.12 which is approximately what I paid per fan as well when you figure in the social aspect, but I was running very targeted ads and my rates would probably drop if I had to keep scraping the bottom of the barrel to enhance further.

If you're in the area, I'd stop by The Village Museum or the Arts Council which carry lots of books about McClellanville and by local authors. If you're out of the area, you can follow this link to Amazon for a copy - http://www.amazon.com/Home-Village-McClellanville...

It's truly a once a decade thing in McClellanville, so it is a fun treat. I remember school letting out every time there was a hint of snow and then went to Appalachian State in the NC mountains and tromped through feet of the stuff never to see a snow day again.

It was a close one, but challenger Samuel Robinson unseated Alston and became Awendaw second mayor. I congratulate him on his victory and hope that he upholds his promises of protecting the environment and controlling unbridled growth in Awendaw.

Thank you everybody for the kind words. The perceived success of my first video post (more than a year after I buying the camera) will give me the fuel to get out there and keep filming.

Odd that you mention the race of the students when no asked and it has no bearing on or importance, I guess that's politics as usual. Everyone is welcome at Archibald Rutledge, where the last attendance number that I heard were 70 students...I'm happy to announce that next year, I will be co-teaching an after school program focusing on writing and technology where I will teach blogging basics.

I haven't heard any recent rumors, but several of the chains do population studies every couple of years and I'm sure as soon as it makes good business sense that they will be welcomed by most. There is basically a lot reserved for such a business in the highway commercial zone, not that they have to take it but it would provide pedestrian access without having to travel on the highway. If I had to guess I'd say it'll probably be another 5 years if McClellanville continues the slow but steady growth that it has been experiencing.
