Gear Diary : Dalai Lama reincarnated on Twitter - changes to non-affiliated account - keeps 21,000+ followers

I've seen this happen with Twitter users with a much smaller number of followers. Afaict, all that has to happen is for a user to request a username change, and anyone following the original user will automatically be following the new user after the change.

Spark | CBC Radio : Episode 66 - February 11 & 14, 2009

I live in a very small town. We have only one movie theatre with only one screen. If I want to go see a movie, I can see the movie that's playing at the theatre that week, or I can do without. That's perhaps the easiest movie decision ever.

It looks interesting. But I don't have 1/2" between the keyboard and the edge of the computer. :(

Gear Diary : Win One of Six Seagate FreeAgent Go Portable Hard Drives From Gear Diary and The Gadgeteer

I don't know yet if it involves data loss, but my computer (MY PRECIOUS!) decided to stop working last Friday. Everything *sounds* ok (hard drive, optical drive, fans; there is no clicking) but that's it. I get no leds other than the power led, and there is no video either on the built-in display, on vga-out, or on s-video.

Spark | CBC Radio : Does your laptop double as a recipe book?

I have most of my recipes in Evernote. That way, I can access them on my notebook, on my iPod Touch, or on my iPhone. There's no need to drag the laptop into the kitchen that way.
