You don't have to fear law abiding gun owners and as a matter of fact, if your about to lose your life to a crackhead with a gun, maybe that law abiding gun owner will save you. Your answer is to outlaw guns??? Crack is illegal too but we still have it. JEEEEEZZZZ!

Don't use ROE v. WADE as an example of wanting to infringe on individual right to privacy. I could give a rats ass what you do in private as long as it doesn't hurt another person. The debate is whether the baby's right to life liberty and pursuit of happiness is being protected so it IS TRULY an individual rights issue as well. You just don't want the baby to have any rights. Before you use the idiotic argument of "only hypocrits can be for the death penalty and against abortion" the simple answer to that is a question of GUILT. The baby is innocent and the cold blooded murderer is GUILTY. Wierd obsession with child molesters? Death is too good for them. I say we cut off a tree stump, nail their "junk" to the stump, set the stump on fire, and give them a butter knife and tell them start cuttin or burn. How's that for "backwoods" Jeffty.

By The Way The brass is NOW
going to be sold by the DoD to China as scrap - For less money than Ammo manufacturers have been paying for the shells before processing to destroy. Sell cheaper to China - and do not sell shells at all to a proven US business. Any agenda working here? one of his competitors had already purchased a load of brass last week - and the DoD contacted him this week and said they were sending someone over to make sure it was destroyed. Shell Casings he had already bought! Georgia Arms owner says that he will have to lay off at least Half of his 60 Workers, within 2 - 3 months.He has 2 - 3 months inventory of shells to use. This is breaking news....Georgia Arms is the 5th largest retailer of ..223 Ammo in America (they sell 9 mm, .45, etc) They normally buy spent brass from the US Dept of Defense - 'one time used' shell casings by our Military - from training on Military bases, etc. They buy the brass and then re-load for resale to Law Enforcement, Gun Shops, Gun Clubs, etc. This week the DoD wrote a letter to the owner of Georgia Arms and said that from now on the DoD will be destroying the brass - shredding it. It is no longer available to the Ammo makers - unless they just buy it in a scrap condition (which they have no use for).

Agreed. My concern is that many people believe that the "seperation" quote is actually in the constitution and faith in a higher power has no place in government. I would not want a country that didn't allow free excercise of ANY faith you wish including faith that there is no god. But let's be realistic. If there is no higher power, then everybody could do whatever they want and only be accountable to whoever is in power at that time. That would mean that at some point there could be legal murder or theft or whatever the powers that be would allow. I agree the conversation has been taken in a different direction but I still think it serves a purpose for this debate.

Wait a minute Jeffty. That's it? PLEASE don't do me any favors. I'm a big boy. Let me have it. Give me your argument. How is it that you don't think the founding Fathers used their Judeo/Christian values to guide them when writing the Constitution? If that's the case and they were not guided by a higher power, then the clause conveying that everyone has the "right" to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is simply their opinion and as such we should not be bound by any of it. We should be able to do whatever makes us feel good.

The Ten Commandments are inscripted ALL over Federal Buildings everywhere in this country. The founding fathers quoted New AND Old Testament scripture in almost ALL of their writings. This country was certainly founded on Judeo/Christian principles and to deny that is simply ignorant or disingenuis. As we have discussed (beat a dead horse comes to mind)the founders wanted to be sure one "religion" was not established as a STATE sponsered entity.
Judeo/Christian values and principles were still the guide to the founding documents of this Country. I know this doesn't fit in with the Liberal agenda and that is why you cannot acquiesce to this fact. If there is no higher moral governing authority (i.e. consequence and faith in a higher power) then we are simply free to decide by Popular Vote what is and is not acceptable behavior for the times we live in. Among other things,this allows humans to determine when a human being is viable and at what age they can be terminated. In this scenario there is no freedom beyond what man allows. That goes directly against the Constitution. As such, proves that the guiding force in writing the Constitution was GOD!

My original question delt directly with this quote and you felt compelled to answer it in your typical SPIN. "Seperation of Church and State" IS a direct quote from one of our founding fathers (Probably the most famous) however taken out of context by the Left. You are correct that it is NOT in the founding papers anywhere. Your generalization of the topic is typical. NOWHERE can you show me that the founding fathers wanted Christian Principles seperated from government. They just wanted "A" Church never to be established by the Government. This is because of the history of the Church of England and their purpose to get away from an oppressive anti-free choice government.

Cute little Liberal comment though.

This self fulfilling spin on the part of the left must be a hold over from too many hours of Marxist study in a coffee shop downtown San Fran. (Thanks for the sentence structure. We backwoods folks ain't 2 smrt ya no?)

Thank you for that reminder. I REALLY hope your right. However, Carter was an idiot schoolboy compared to this guy. AND we have had another 30 years to dumb down the public school kids so they will be an uneducated voting mass regarding the constitution. They have been more educated as to the entitlements they deserve than to personal responsibility.
