It kills me that Obama only cares about (it's demonstrable) what things he can say to sway public opinion. Everything he does contradicts what he says; it is a page right out of 1984 - he is a master of doublespeak. The deficit reduction is a good example. Add trillions to the deficit and then become a deficit hawk. Amazing for its hubris, and intellectual insult to the people! It's the same liberal playbook, "the people are stupid - they will believe whatever we want them to" or "they are too stupid to make good political choices so therefore we must rule for them and choose for them so they don't hurt themselves".

That's it. We need to shut down the NEA.

You and I are giving these radicals our money (well it's being taken from us and THEN given to them). The money is then used to pressure banks to give low cost loans to people who can't afford them, pressure politicians to not stand in their way or to make them afraid of their ability to organize against them, to presure businesses to give them favorable treatment. By doing so, ACORN becomes more powerful and the leeches that run it become more wealthy. The idea is to use revolutionary tactics to get power, not to empower people. Anyone who believes this deserves the same treatment that all the Russians got after their communist revolution.

Without sounding too strident, I will say that ACORN represents an exigent threat to America, the constitution, and her citizens. Please read about the Killing FIelds for what happens when leftists take over. Not because we are at risk of random execution by ACORN, but because you can see the same dynamics at work. You have idealistic, brainwashed people who think that anything to advance their cause is legitimate. That includes breaking the law, in ACORN's case, outright shooting of intellectuals in the Khmer Rouge's case.
ACORN is political muscle, the real and true 'Brownshirts' of modern times. They take as much public money as possible, and plow it into political activities. Just like any good mafia-like org, they have legitimate things done as cover, like advising poor people and hookers. Of course, the money is all steered by the puppeteers (Democrats) in Washington in order for this racket to advance the liberal cause.
