Like the Holocaust? Show me the stacks of emaciated bodies. Show me the crematoriums. Show me the medical experiments done without anesthesia. Show me the dead children. Idiot! Daughter of an idiot! Stupid beyond belief!
Actually, I don't know which god you have reference to. If you mean the God of the Jews and the Christians the Old Testament tells very specifically that in the last days when Israel is again in her land (read Ezekiel 36-38), she will be alone and when all the world comes at her, God will step in and do the slaughtering. If that's as soon as it looks, and you see it, I think you'll find that it is Allah who will be bowing on his knees.
Your wikipedia ref needs more substance. Wikipedia is notoriously inaccurate, with entries posted by those with an ax to grind or an ideology to shine. Illegally occupying and building on territories is a no-go. The land is theirs as surely as California belongs to the US. Spain (or Mexico) crying over how we are building on their occupied territory is just as stupid. I stand by my analogy, by the way. If it is morally right for us, it must also be morally right for Israel. If it is morally wrong for Israel, it must be morally wrong for us as well. Morality, in spite of lib think, is not a two way street.
Your loss. Pascal's Wager shows that your position (ie God is not) has only a one in four chance of being correct. So I guess I can say with a 75% probability that the moment after you die you will find out just how big your loss is.
You are going to have to provide facts for this one. Fart breathed anger proves nothing; neither do wild accusations with nothing to back them up. In any case, I think "innocent Muslims" is an oxymoron.
Attn vhistory: Exactly what rules do has Israel not followed? If it's the flotilla thing you hate, I live in Texas. If (when?) Mexico starts lobbing rockets into us, you can bet I'll be there doing my best to halt all weapons into that country. It is just like Pearl Harbor. As far as I am concerned Israel has as much right to take down Gaza as we did to take down Japan in WW2.
Also, I remember in school not wanting to learn history, although I had a very good memory. I took high school civics as a senior, but generally blew it off as a required subject. I wish I had learned more then. There's so much that I could have done before now.
I agree with you. It was so good to hear what I need to do. I can't just sit and watch any more. But I didn't know how to respond or what to do. Thanks, Tyler.
I'm responding for my wife here. We both use this email address.
About the firemen, she was upset over some comment made about the
firemen having to be there. She thought it was to use their hoses to
shut us up. I don't think that was what was meant. At this point no
more has been said about the fire department, and we have moved our
location to a privately owned shopping center. Our city government is
still basically obstructive and angry. This is my assessment of last
night's city council meeting, which I attended. Even though 2
witnesses gave testimony about being present when statements were made
about the tea party "not being allowed," our mayor, who I believe is
honest but in over his head, denied such statements ever occurred.
(He was present at neither occasion, but wants to protect "his" city
employees.) Apparently having our say is one thing, but others
actually listening is another. However, no matter what the city says,
I will be at the site protesting on April 15. I am reasonably sure I
won't be alone.
What's going on? I tried to post an exceptionally articulate email from the vent page, but it wouldn't post. I didn't even yell. It was about the tea party in Burleson, Texas. An unelected city "street supervisor" tried to cancel it, stating "safety" reasons. He tried to put us in an out of the way place where we wouldn't draw too much attention. You know, Burleson is the birthplace of "See You at the Pole" the prayer meetings held at the flag poles of local high schools. It's legal and proper for US citizens to meet under the auspices of our national flag and there's nothing an unelected official can do about it. I fully expect to be injured, not by the party goers, but by the firemen who are supposed to be there for our "safety."
