I think that after I get home, see my relatives, have a Cheese toastie and drink a pint of Guiness, I\'ll then miss China and have the reality of how easy my life has been for 2 years set in.

I was annoyed at the excessively long train journey we took to get there, while also having to do marking over the holiday, but the photos are good. :-)

That Databases course was the theory of why we have databases with little to no real word command line practicality. It\'s Imperial we\'re talking about here, do you think they\'d do a \"restart mysql\" type course. Regardless, you\'re right, a lot depends on the person taking the course.

That list is so geeky. I love the understatement of the list too. Third Year: Databases. Given the inclination of the student subjected to this desgree program that could range from knowing how to restart MySQL to optimising a search engine.

I think it makes a good point. Especially for a student speech. I hardly write any letters as my handwriting and spelling is so bad. It\'s very worthwhile though.

My aim in these first few lessons is to give you skills to practise listening from some BBC Materials. I will focus on Topics a little later, after you\'ve had some practise with some perhaps less difficult listening tasks.

Please be patient. I\'m trying to give you the best material I can from different areas of the BBC. I know last weeks lesson was maybe less about Britain. But America has some special relationship with Britain, and seeing the British view of American actions can be helpful too.
