thats what confused me the most! I thought this might be a sign of some kind of self-referential irony, on a level so far above the majority of us that it would explain why we missed it. but I think its a serious thing!!

The shame of missing irony is surely less than the mind blowing consequences of people actually existing who really think this is a good idea!

Ask him whether he thinks the stuff he speaks into (culturally and all that) is specifically for the USA or more generally for "western" christianity - and how that relates to the the world of christianity (inc orthodox, RC, eastern and african expressions, etc)?

Oh, and ask him about the comment about church leaders comparing the size of their spires.

And whether Eddie izzard really is his biggest inspiration as a preacher and if so which is his favourite bit out of these two - cake or death, or the death star canteen bit...

And Richard Dawkins will write a book, claiming to explain why shelves arent actually needed in todays society of cupboards and chest of drawers...

But it does beg the question, what kind of shelf would Jesus have built? A classic solid oak job or a more modern floating shelf number?
