I much prefer my non-social-justice-but-just-as-hip-yet-more-durable Sanuks. TOMS are glorified burlap socks that I see getting worn out way too fast. Think about it, if the shoes wear out really fast in America, how much faster are they wearing out in a poor country that doesn't have sidewalks and carpet on the floors?

Great concept that I wish more companies adopted, but I've yet to see a durable pair of TOMS and that concerns me that something that appears to be so cheaply made and doesn't even hold up to normal wear-and-tear in America is being sent to much less developed countries.
