Hi Preethi, as always I enjoy the format in which MediaNama breaks done the articles - here's what happened, this is who's involved and this is wht it means - layman friendly :-)

So, back to the article, the figure alone '230 individuals' barred by SEBI is quite something. However one has to ask whether widening the ring of those 'punished' sends out a strong message that if you are a corporate dabbling in shady activities then you and your entire ring will not only be found out but also brought to task - media accomplices, PR accomplices, etc....

Anyway, the audacity to forge a SEBI letter and publish it into the public domain...now thats balls (or an enviable collection of media favours)!
