Still no Verizon - 6 months after USA launch - is a killer in the USA. That is 1/2 the contract mobile phone users and simply a huge untapped market. Sprint with only a clunky qwerty phone doesn't help either.

Is there any doubt B&N will follow Borders into bankruptcy. They need a complete retail reboot and quickly get up to speed about infringement and IP.

Verizon is not known for 1. good prices off contract, 2. timely anything or 3. appeasing customers.

$199 on 2-year contract USA is pretty normal and expected for Verizon customers with Smartphones. The Trophy is an adequate phone not "mediocre" by any stretch of the imagiation.

again, in designing WP7 updates.... if MS allowed a 3rd party to install the latest OFFICIAL update AND also not be upgradable further... THEY ARE INEPT. They completely and utterly failed and to a crucial base of vocal, early adopters.

It's not like chevron rooted, reimaged and wiped phones using a hacked ROM. If it did that then of course NoDo would not be expected to be updated.

Microsoft gets a lot of bad press that is unwarranted - including from lame bloggers like Paul T. who cried about "blocking updates", ignoring business realities.

This is a technical FIASCO, if true. I'm still doubting Brandon is 100% correct though.

great news for ebooks. kindle "software" runs on just about every device, pc, tablet & phone made.

also a blow to itunes books which would be a debacle handing lord jobs having full control of music & book media.

Microsoft is seriously inept if chevron devices running build 7390 (officially updated via carrier pushed update) cannot be upgraded without a total reset. I mean, this would require utter, gross incompetence

at&t address book option appears in settings, people, add an account.

installed with the "samsung update" that zune installs over the Chevron/Nodo updated Focus

I assume if you "notify when new wifi connections are available" the att WISPr will work. I can try that next time i go to Barnes & Noble.

also the Focus camera now defaults to image stabilization ON :-)

i was notified (when connecting with zune) and updated to the "samsung" update

my focus is developer unlocked and chevron updated to nodo.
