Never thought I would hear pro-Sharia and pro-abortion in the same sentence talking about the same thing. That is almost like calling the pope an abortion rights leader.

So we are suing the only state in the union where you can be pulled over and incarcerated because your skin color isn't quite right? The idea was good, but the way it is written leaves a lot of loopholes to plugged, and I don't intend to donate MY body to help plug them. How many of you carry acceptable proof of your citizenship in your pockets, ready for instant access when an Arizona cop pulls you over to inquire as to what you are doing in his fine state? IF you carry your passport at all times, you MIGHT not go to jail, but that is about the only acceptable ID.

Not at all.  I have had some little experience in being an unprotected minority, and choice has little to do with it.  It seems the ACLU  has decided that people who may be a political handicap aren't the ones to be defended.

The answer to why they are focused on smokers is simple, they are an easy target. These are the people who have already made it illegal to smoke in your own car if it contains one person under the age of 18 in California, and are trying to make it illegal for you to smoke in your own home if you have children living there. Smokers, like it or not, are a minority now, and the ACLU would classify them an unprotected minority at that, as some people don't like smoking in any shape or form,

Thank you.  I am an ex-smoker, but I saw some of the ridiculous lengths some of the nut cases on the west coast were doing before I quit.  Oh, yes, in California it is now illegal to smoke if there is anyone under the age of eighteen in the car, just as it is illegal in some towns to smoke on the public street, or within twenty-five feet of a store entrance, if I remember correctly. What irks me about all this is them saying they are protecting the staff from second hand smoke, when most of the restaurant workers used to smoke as much as any of the customers.  The ones who didn't managed to keep pretty well clear of heavy doses of smoke.

The sentence is light, but not for a woman. If that had been a man in a similar situation, only with girls rather than boys, he would have been lucky to have gotten off with fifteen years, each, and no plea agreement allowed.

Nope, cars aren't covered, yet. Of course, this isn't California, either. Wait until someone tells you to douse your cigarette because you are standing within a hundred feet of a business entry.

Smokers do vote, but they don't have the activist support anti-smoking groups have. When did you ever hear of Green Peace doing something the general public was in favor of?

This has been an ongoing problem for a number of years, ever since the price of salvage metal got up high enough to make the effort required to break one of those units down worth while. I have heard of places putting a security cage around the outside unit, only to have the cage stolen as well as the copper and such from the condenser end.

I don't know about discussing the causes of the war, but they for sure are looking at the actualities of combat in that day and time. They will also get a good look at why Missouri was so important to both the North and the South. As far as the reasons, slavery was one, but far from being the only one. States rights was another sore point between the North and the South, just as it is a sticking point today.
