But I'm hoping to become a more "serious" guitarist. Closer to Mac's level than yours. No one can beat you! :) (No, I'm not brown nosing! Okay... maybe just a bit! But I'm just telling you how awesome you are! And it's the truth! I'm sure any Mark Lee fan would agree. You're just crazy-awesome, Mark!!) I've always had a dream of becoming a great Christian singer like Mac and my choir teacher has helped me to realize that it's possible! She always takes me aside and asks me if I've ever thought of becoming a professional singer and she thinks I would do great and be a big hit. Soooo.. I wanna start getting that guitar going and writing my own songs!! Mark, you really are a big help with this! I owe a lot to you! And, BTW- this guitar website has become a HUGE hit and a great help!

*Starts her Christmas list*... Okee doke! I've got a beginner acoustic down on it! Hopefully my dad will take me to pick it out instead of him just getting what he wants to get. Or maybe I'll just print this discussion off for him. Hmmmmm.. I'm hoping to work up to getting a PRS. Wish I had the money to get your special edition PRS, Mark! But money's too tight! And we get a $300 limit on our Christmas stuff from my dad and $200 from my mom. So, a $100 beginner acoustic is in order. I'm hoping to get a guitar pick from you at the Louisville, KY show on October 17th! I mean, I don't think I'd use that for guitar playing because I'd probably frame it! ANYWHO!! I am relieved to know that beginners don't change their strings as much. I know how to "play" the guitar.. as in scales and a little bit of "Smoke On The Water" because we had to learn how to play it back when I was in the 5th grade in Music class. Which was about 4-5 years ago! (Next post! I was told that I had to split it into more comments in order for it all to post!)

SixStringLounge : Can you learn to play guitar by playing Guitar Hero?

I've had people tell me that if they can play Guitar Hero that they think they could play the guitar. And I always tell them that they're two entirely different things. As a guitar player and being on expert in Guitar Hero.. I can say that. Like you said, Mark, there are very few things that are the same as playing the guitar. I mean, Guitar Hero had helped some of my guitar playing skills, but at a minimum. When someone has told me that they could play guitar since they can play Guitar Hero.. I've given them the link to your blog. And I haven't heard it from people who tell me that since. BTW- Very interesting post! :)

SixStringLounge : Guitar for the Absolute Beginner: How to play guitar in 30 days

I really, REALLY want to learn how to play the guitar. But, my problem is that, my brother took my guitar to college with him! Arrrrgggh! It's not like my brother has TIME to play it! He plays football AND he's in a Fraternity! But, anywho! Do you know where I can get a nice, but cheap acoustic guitar?

SixStringLounge : Welcome to the "beta" version of SixStringLounge!

So, guitars interest me. My brother plays the guitar. He's not as good as you, Mark! But, he still can. I want him to teach me how to play. I've always wanted an acoustic. Ever since I was about 7. And, now I'm 14 and every now and then I sneak my brothers out of the case. Except, now I can't do that because he is a freshman in college. So, it's with him. Yeah, I commented this when I wasn't signed up. Mark, you are amazing at making websites! Great job!
