"Doesn't it make more sense for them to protest before the Tues CC vote?"

But then then the council would have information to consider *before* they vote. Didn’t you know that’s not the way the CC works?!

Thank you. I had recalled a statement about no money to undo the damage, but money to burn to screw up other streets, so I was confused about how they have no financial shortfalls to fix things now. I guess we should all be grateful this happened close before an election! We won't be so lucky next time! Citizens' Initiative 302: Neighborhood Voting to Approve Re-zoning Roads?!

While there is clearly disagreement about this project, I think we can all agree it's been a colossal waste of money (okay, not as bad as the muni; could they really have paid for solar for everyone by now with that money?! If so, that's what they should do going forward, and pat themselves on the back for making a positive impact, IMHO).

I'd love to know what the original budget was for this "project," and how the spending is doing against that budget.

If Folsom is fully restored, I'll go back to biking it. I wear a helmet, I don't wear headphones, and I felt safe on the old Folsom Road.

"Nobody in their right mind wants to ride next to backed up traffic, belching exhaust fumes."

That's exactly why I didn't go back to biking on Folsom after wrong sizing, and why I don't ride East Arapahoe (may as well give that road 2 lanes each way!).

I bet you they would have a consultant hired within a month to study the problem. In the meantime, they'd be passing noise ordinances against the powerless who bought generators. Now, those generators won't emit carbon, right?!

In all seriousness, in the neighborhood in which I grew up (east coast), for some reason I don't know the power grid has become very unreliable. Every other house now has a gasoline powered generator out front. Perhaps this will be an unintended consequence of the muni (though it looks like it's never going to happen)?

Not a done deal, but they’re working on it.
