Life saving emergency care for most folks in the US is already available, even if they are here illegally. You may or may not think that is a good thing, Catholic or otherwise.

Moving from that situation to INSURANCE coverage for all residents is quite another thing. So, if health insurance is a right of all residents of the US, this presumes that the Feds are required to build a system to implement that right and to pay for it.

Lets look at this logic. Housing has not been declared a basic human right. Food has not been declared a BHR. Nor, has clothing.

So, we have homeless beggars looking for food and sleeping in boxes, and this happens all over the US.

Hmm. tell them about the insurance issue again? Is THIS the most urgent BHR issue out there?

Lets get back to basics here. To add insurance coverage for 45 M people will cost money, lots of money.
