Should you decide to help, this is easy: try to convince your respective governments -- through your electoral freedom, should you have one -- to support a comprehensive extension of the NPT, allowing for a strenghful application of safeguards... Dear all, this is not only your interest, this is also your children's and grand children's interest!

PS: When one considers the hard work made and still performed for the seak of peace, compared to the very few tiny mistakes along those last 11 years... M. El Baradei, for his sound guidance of the IAEA, whithin its mandate, definitely desserved this Nobel price!

"Navigating" in the middle east crisis, between a Dick Cheney and a Saddam Hussein, A G.W Bush who so much helped the current iranian president (by pushing strong anti iran thesis) a weaponized Israel -- and no more peaceful than its neighbourhood countries safe for Jordan -- has required from M. El Baradei much more energy for peace than all those other put so eagerly on war!
Now that he is about to leave after several successful mandates, he may wish to release part of what he had to store on his own! He may not be perfect, but he is definitely close to perfection!
This said, regarding to the IAEA mandate, please always remember that the mandates of such organizations do just depend on the will of the member states to make the organizations efficient or not. The NPT as such is limited because the Member states decided that it should be so.

Mohammed El Baradei is a brillant diplomat who understands very fast the inputs he gets from all different parts. Furthermore, he is able to analyze almost all of the short, medium and long term impacts of his statements.
This said, in such a position as his, he is continuously subject to severe political pressures from various entities which would like him to sustain their thesis..
