Last August, exactly one week apart, my husband and I lost our jobs to company closures. Neither of us has had success in finding work. We struggle to pay the bills and feed our children. Yes, unfortunately, we have had to rely on government assistance. But given the choice, we'd both WORK to support our family. We don't WANT the government to hand us our living.... we want to earn it. That is the way it's meant to be. And that is one of thousands of differences between conservatives like us, and liberals who want to sit back and do NOTHING and ask the government to pay them for it.
Mark my words, a revolution is coming. Those of us who believe in America and her ideals will be persecuted... but I cannot believe that we will fail!

What is it the Bible says? "Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you in my name" ? Let them revile me! I will still believe what I believe! That is my right, and NO ONE has the right to take that from me!

Cathy, please don't get this wrong. No one is saying you don't have a right NOT to own a gun... but there are those of us who do, and that is our right. Does the Constitution say that gives us the right to murder? No. The right to keep and bear arms.... as others here have said, to protect us from a tyrranical government that is bent on controlling every aspect of our lives. It has to stop. We have to get back to the rights, principles and values that the men who shaped this country held dear. I am PROUD of my country.... but I am ASHAMED of the government we have today. And I will NOT give up my right to bear arms....
As for your post, Cathy..... a famous quote for you... I disagree with your point of view, but I will defend to the DEATH your right to express it.
