Hard to say. What we saw from Sheed last season was dismal. He mailed the season in after the Billups/Iverson swap. He looks overweight and slow this year. He's a year older. Was it due to age? Or was it due to a bad roster and bad coaching? I don't know for sure, but I suspect the former.

I think as long as you're not expecting more than 8 and 6 per night, then you won't be disappointed. But if you're expecting more than that consistently, then you will be.

If I'm Doc, I'm limiting Sheed to 24ish minutes per night, limiting Big Baby in favor of Williams and riding Perk and KG as long as Perk is out of foul trouble and KG is healthy. The latter are your two best frontcourt players and are a pretty solid duo.

You're talking to a Pistons fan here ... I said all of those things for years. He's just lazy, he'll turn it on, he would be better if he just posted up more, etc., etc.

I still like Sheed -- he'll be an all-time favorite for me. But if our experience as Piston fans is anything to go on, Sheed will be a roller coaster for you, just like he was for us. He's a tease -- so much talent, so little application of it.

The irony is that Sheed has a lot to do with not winning 72 games. He's a shell of what he used to be, and he's essentially limited to chucking 3's.

Couple that with Big Baby getting too many minutes, KG's natural decline due to aging, and you've got a good understanding of why Boston is not quite as good as a lot of people thought.

Still a legit title contender, if they are healthy in the Playoffs, but nowhere close to 72 wins.
