All incidents like this do is make it more likely that next time, maybe the officers just drive on by. Mr. Gates, what if it HAD been someone breaking in to your home (black or white), and ofc. Crowley just took the man's word that he lived there? I'm sure you, like me, would have screamed bloody murder over that. I am a white man who has never been in trouble in his life- who has had to prove to the police on more than one occasion that i had a right to be where i was. Rather that, than to have the police not care.

Mr. Pitt is exactly right when he says "we'll find out when we get there". Unfortunately, then it will be too late to make a choice. Only those who aknowlege God through the work of His Son will spend eternity with him. It is not enough to do "good works". It saddens me how we take a gift so simple and make it something so complicated. If someone handed you a million dollars with no strings atatched, would you accept it, or would you question the motive, or would you assume you had to do all manner of things to deserve it? Atheist, agnostic, spiritualist, etc... Believe what you want. It won't change the fact that every knee shall bow.

Old Tom, you are so correct, Bob Dole couldn't have won a one man race, the choice between Obama & McCain was "do we want the cool, black liberal, or the old white liberal". Where's RR when we need him?

in our glee at Mr. Obama's downfall- let's not forget that it was conservatives that gave us Bill Clinton's second term. 1-1/2 years into his term, you couldn't find anyone who voted for the guy; then in '94 conservative Republicans were elected in a landslide, went about fixing things...Clinton got most of the credit...we got Clinton, term 2.
