As a state entity, the university isn't bound by Boulder's building rules. http://www.dailycamera.com/archivesearch/ci_12954...

You are correct (of course). The only thing worse than an old guy reminiscing about the old days is an old guy who can’t even get it right when he reminisces….

Classy move from the Competitor Group (Rock and Roll Marathon) who are historically very profit motivated. I would have expected them to offer a small discount, comp entry for 200 and more if space allows.

Interesting. Just got a call from CU Buff Club. They are shutting down the parking on Franklin Field now and forcing fans to move. Pretty much the last straw for me. All we had left was game day tailgating on the grass.

You are correct. I am not currently in the position of having to turn down the opportunity to realize revenue. I am sympathetic to your frustration. The courts have traditionally not recognized the regulation of property by the government as a taking. Regulating property restricts the property owner's use and may or may not infringe on the owner's rights.

I suppose we come right back to the central debate here - Does this method of Oil and gas extraction cause harm to my neighbors and those downstream? Millions of dollars in TV ads each night assure me it does not. I remain skeptical.

I own the mineral rights under my property. No one can take them from me without due process. However, I do not have the right to strip mine, blast, or dig a mine shaft without adhering to local code. There is a clear distinction between ownership and the authority to extract the minerals with any process I choose.

It seems odd to me that they would feel justified in forcing the door open. However, there are exceptions to the requirement for a search warrant. "Exigent Circumstances" is the exception that refers to emergency situations where the process of getting a valid search warrant could compromise public safety or could lead to a loss of evidence.
