As a mother, I would never feel safe with my daughter around a father that slept with a GIRL half his age. Yes, he absolutely is a criminal and even though things turned out well for you after all this time, I bet there were some serious issues back then. Girls at age 14 or so, are suddenly looking like women. That doesn't mean they are women. It's like they have been given brand new weapons and are eager to try them out without the emotional maturity to know the repercussions of what they are doing. Grown men should have the sense to steer way clear of any girl that is not in his age group, social circle etc. Those that don't are emotionally stunted at the least and possibly dangerous at the most.
Are you kidding? Did you seriously say "the natives"? Are there American Indians living on the West Side now?
and by the way there is no Republican running in District 5. It is Cenkush or a Democrat.
I agree with everything you said, warsawresident. My point of this whole discussion is to get people thinking about how their constitutional rights are being eroded and they are willing participants. Even if you don't drink and drive you still have something to worry about. The loss of your personal freedoms. DUI check points are just a few steps away from road blocks to check your identity or anything else the government chooses. This is America. We are not supposed to be subjected to someone demanding "Your papers please!" That kind of thing is for communists and dictators. Many people have died for the freedoms that we claim to have.
The Tea Party has endorsed Ron Cenkush, Libertarian running for House District 5
It is un-constitutional because as American citizens, there must be probable cause for search and/or seizure. I am not trying to argue that drinking and driving are good or should be permitted. I am saying that randomly stopping people is against the constitution.
The American Citizens and Lawmen Association in conjunction with The U.S. Federal Law Research Center are presently involved in studies in several areas involving questions on constitutional law. One of the many areas under review is the area of "Citizens right to travel." In an interview a spokesmen stated: "Upon researching this subject over many months, substantial case law has presented itself that completely substantiates the position that the "right to travel unrestricted upon the nations highways" is and has always been a fundamental right of every Citizen."
This means that the "beliefs and opinions" our state legislators, the courts, and those of as involved in the law enforcement profession have acted upon for years have been in error. Researchers armed with actual facts state that U.S. case law is overwhelming in determining that - to restrict, in any fashion, the movement of the individual American in the free exercise of their right to travel upon the roadways, (excluding "commerce" which the state Legislatures are correct in regulating), is a serious breach of those
freedoms secured by the U.S. Constitution, and most state Constitutions, i.e - it is Unlawful.
I humbly beg to differ. Quote from the first line of the article: "FBI: 'Ruse' created to arrest militia members", 'The head of the FBI in Detroit says the government created a memorial service "ruse" to arrest several Midwest Christian militia members over the weekend."
I am confused. The first story about this case says that Hutaree members were lured to a warehouse in the belief that it was a memorial service. If the plan was to kill an officer of the law, then kill more officers when they went to the funeral for the first one, why didn't they have any weapons to fulfill their plan when they went? I know it is frightening to think that such conspiracies are happening right now, and I vehemently oppose violence in any form, but where is the evidence to hold these people in jail? As Americans, we have the right to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Are we at the point of having "thought police"?
Why is tax money being spent on a sports team in the first place? This should be a non issue because our government should not be spending our tax money in such a frivolous manner.
