Freakin' funny Roy, I just Googled eight miles high. Man have fun with this. You can relate the verse to who ever you want.

Helter skelter in a summer swelter
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter
Eight miles high and falling fast
It landed foul on the grass
The players tried for a forward pass
With the jester on the sidelines in a cast

Thanks St Ed, I respect your comments too. You have been unwavering in defense of club, manager and player. You are right in doing so. The reason I say that is the ladder does not lie. I cannot argue with you with the position we are in. We both want the same thing and that is promotion.

Let's say we achieve promotion. Do you think having Sam manage us in the PL will keep us up? What do we do, keep Sam or not?

The last 3 games I have watched on TV have been average at best. Forget about finger pointing, the position we are in and any if buts or maybe on results.

Just one hypothetical question St Ed. In the last game against Boro the crowd was our 3rd lowest for he season. Ok a mid week game but we were unbeaten in 7 with a chance to go #2. Only 27,500 turned up.

Will you still feel the same if we win our next 2 games at home 1-0 but in game one the crowd attendance has dropped to 24,000 and in game 2 19-20,000.?

Ok, one more question. Do you think the supporters will keep filling Upton Park if we continue winning but keep playing the way we are?

My point is, the club is in deep trouble financially if the fans stop coming. If the fans stop coming, attendances fall below 24,000 sponsors will see what is happening. One is we lose sponsors for next season and 2 find them very difficult to replace.

This maybe the most high profile real life example of nullifying the comment, winning is everything.

Say we get what we want and get promoted. I will not watch us win 5 games in a 38 game season. This kind of football and Sam's philosophy of football will not be successful in the PL.

I am a sportsman to the core, but I do not see the skill in hoofing a ball 40 meters to miss the intended target by 20 meters, time and time again. When it happens 15 times a game or more, I am disappointed it is my team I am watching.

Sam is definitely facing his biggest challenge of his football career. I think he is feeling the pressure of a magnitude that you would not wish on your worst enemy.

You would think one clubs supporters not liking you is normal. The next club's supporters who got you the sack, would make you think there is a problem I should look to address. A third club in a row should be too much for anyone to bear.

How long will it be before the players start rebelling because they know the boos aren't for them but for their manager. This has the potential to really rip the club apart.

Some say leave Sam alone, why are people whinging when we are 3rd a chance of automatic promotion. Well I think it is time to congratulate the players for a job well done on getting us to our current position on the ladder playing Sam's way. Promotion would be ours if we played it on the ground

Whether we are promoted or not we are about to enter nearly 6-7years of instability on the managerial part.

To all the posters who say stop whinging. What you will see is people stop going to the games because they don't enjoy the football. People go to the football to enjoy the atmosphere but also the excitement of watching there team. If there is no excitement the urge to be pay the bucks to go will eventually wane.

If your favourite artist is Mozart, how many Sex Pistol concerts would you go to in a row before you stopped going?

Speaking of music, this type of football reminds me of a Don McLean song, American Pie.

When Sam came along was the day the football died.

So bye bye Mr Sam Allardyce, drive your Chevy back to Bolton so we can get Chis Hughton. The good 'ol fans would like to see football again to make sure that this season is not the time for West Ham to die.

Well, It's not great. But I had the time.

That could be on the subs point, that the whole squad knows what their job is , what the teams job is.

On top of that the players enjoy their style of play. I have not heard once that a player enjoys Sams way. In fact, the players have been scarily quiet on the media side of things.

He is truly inspirational. Sam that is Roy not you. You probably didn't even know what he was talking about so he had to write this blog for you.

Shame on you Roy. Stop pestering the man with stupid questions.

Roy, it is apparent that players and fans have no idea about how football should be played and watched. He is the only human on earth that knows how football should be played. The refs even don't know.

Which I think will lead to a bust up with the owners. Remember, Gollivans have been in football a long time and I'm sure they are not enjoying the crap that is being dished up. They would like to enjoy good football too.

I will not

Please read.

I'm thinking everyone has missed this. After the second game Tomkins played midfield I read one of those interviews heading Sam on the game with so and so. I do not know what team we played, but this a quote from Sam when asked about Tomkins in midfield. His reply was.

"It seems like James has found a new position"

Guys, Tomkins is staying in midfield for as long as Sam is at the club. He may play the occasional game at CB when we need cover.

This is fact.

Tomka may have made it to national duties as a CB but he has been robbed of that opportunity. He will not make it as a midfielder.

In the interview with Sullivan they did regret not sacking AG in January. Don't sack Sam, keep paying his wages, just get a attack minded coach in to take over for the rest of the season. It is not too late and the players will play out of their skins if it is not hoof ball.

One thing is for certain. If we do get promoted, will any player be rushing to join us in the transfer period. Yes, just the dud ones.

Welcome HemelRoy, your comment is appreciated.

14 years ago @ West Ham Till I Die - Purge Your Negative Th... · 0 replies · +1 points

I think it's fair to say that the real culprit that 98% of posters say cause the negativity is the tactics and style of play adopted by the current manager of West Ham.

I can't fault the players as they are following the game plan.

I can't fault the fans as I too, believe they are not booing the team.

A fact is that the crowd attendance at both home and away games shows that the fans are 100% behind the team.

I therefore find the thread heading redundant as we already are supporting West Ham. If you feel that we aren't, I feel that you are asking the fans to condone the style of play that Sam has adopted.

Therefore the heading should be,

Purge your negative thoughts and condone Sams, tactics, team selection and substitutions.

My simple answer is, I think not.

My length of supporting West Ham will far outlive Sam's tenure.
