It took toooooooo long, but GOD BLESS AMERICA. Only the finest military in the world could have carried this off, once unshackled from the chains of politics. A situation like this, with the apparent results, should only instill a belief that we are still the world's super power and will travel the world to help our own when needed. Three Navy ships, hundreds of sailors and Marines, helicopters, satelites, drone aircraft - all for one man thousands of miles away from the continental US - F@#K YES!!
Why does my post have all those " " in it?
So the lifeboat is between 20 and 40 miles off the skinny's coast. What happens then - the Captain is taken ashore and we never see him again? How could this possibly happen? This is no one's fault but the boy presidents. Perhaps instead of chatting with Clinton at the picnic table or drooling over his new dog, he should be DOING HIS JOB!!!! Oh I'm sure he is "monitoring" the situation, just waiting for time to go by and the whole incident to be forgotten or overshadowed by another of his administrations f'ups, but comeon, this is pitiful. He needs to order a rescue, whatever the cost, before that dingy reaches shore and that could be in the very near future. obama is certainly making his mark....how's that hope and change working so far?
OH GOD!!! The frenchy french's actually pull off a hostage rescue mission and save four out of five of their citizens, and we sit there parked in the ocean while four skinny's hold a US Captain in a 28 foot boat!! It is a sad day indeed when the french have greater testicular fortitude than the United States. Where is Ron Reagan?!?!?!?
HOW THE HELL CAN THIS STILL BE GOING ON?!?!?!?!? The Captain attempts to escape himself and ends up in the water but the skinny's recapture him? Where were Navy SEALS? WTF? This should have been over two days ago with the deaths of several "pirates" and the leveling of their dirt village. What is going on? I went to bed last night figuring I would read about dead pirates this morning and instead the Captain is trying to rescue himself. This is quickly becoming another stain on the US's foreign actions. Come on.
Why in the name of Sam Hill is this thing still going on? Why have we not exterminated these skinny's and moved on to real problems in the world. Please do not tell me the "negotiations" were for real. Please do not tell me that we are entertaining anything they have to say. After we send their rotten scum bodies to the depths, don't we need to go flatten their dirt village? Come on now - this is silly.
