It really depends on whether you are talking about the whole document or the individual articles referred to collectively. It sounds like it should be singular, but there are times when it could be plural. I agree with your analysis Axion because it should be singular, but don't go just by what it sounds like.

Does Congress have the right to compel an American citizen to come and testify to them about their actions? It sounds like the star chamber to me. And if he refused, would he be in legal trouble? That sounds like fascism to me. I thought we were free citizens of a free nation; this has bothered me for some time.

Maybe we just don't have the $10.00 to throw away on the off chance it might be a good movie. Not only that but I have been to a few movies where I have wondered, "Why did I waste my TIME on this dreck?" Some movies are barely worth it at the $2 cinema, and 3D is a real turnoff. I have in other words neither the time nor the money to throw away on a movie I might like. The confusing critics do not move me either way, they only make me realize I can't trust their guidance either.

It seems to me that it is easier than ever to find out what we need to know, but it is still not easy. The media hordes information as if it was their own property, especially local newspapers, and there are so many sources on the web it's hard to tell who to trust. Even daily subscriptions do not help us stay informed where I live because they are biased. And that is what it comes down to, isn't it? Who do you trust? Karl Rove? Barack Obama? The Republican National Committee? I would rather trust someone I agree with than trust some unknown journalist hack no matter what side they are on (and the journalists do take sides!) So it could be better but it still better than it used to be, when there were no alternate sources for such information, and the sources we did have were biased but pretended they weren't.

Well, they just decided the newer Captain Americas (and their rewritten histories) made more sense to them than the original CA and his story. But the original was a flag-waving patriot who wanted to fight the Nazis-- I thought Nazis were e-v-i-l+++? Of course too many of the Arabs thought the Nazi's were the greatest thing since the Koran! Marvel has been moving towards the left for years, why should they necessarily be any different this time? Iron Man 1 and 2 were probably just flukes, anyway. Bleah.

Yes, they are going to ANNOUNCE ON TV that they are coming to take away our guns. The plans are clear; what htey want is is for US to disarm ourselevs because of their wonderful propaganda. But as long as Hollywood's best can hire gun-toters to defend themselves, I should be able to own a gun to defend myself and my family and friends. Not to mention the constitutional side of the question. Rights are granted by God, not by the state, and the right to self-defense is one of the most basic-- especially when defending myslef against an over-powerful statist government.
