Candy Crowley set up Mitt Romney, in debate #2, and made him look like a liar in front of 65 million people. She has never been taken to task for it and Republicans still go on her Sunday show. That's certainly not the most egregious example but it does set the tone.
If the Republicans do not deal with the press, in some way as to force them to be more impartial, they may never win another national election. It's hard enough to defeat the Democrats, it's much harder when you have to do so through a press corps that is willing to overlook everything the Democrats do and distort you message to the point where its unrecognizable.
Just imagine what Obama could have done with a Conservative Republican Congress.
It's funny, I always thought the people of Iowa were pretty conservative and liked honest politicians who shared their values. If that's the case, how does Tom Harkin keep getting re-elected? I could see Harkin getting elected, as a state representative, but to the Senate in a statewide election?????
This looks like one of those items on Axelrod's bucket list. Number 523 - Clean up Jeremiah Wright!! #524 - CLean up Michelle Obama comments, #525 - Blame Bush.
It's specifically because of people, like Lugar, that Republicans are not in power. Lugar is an incumbent and I'd be willing to bet he couldn't have survived if the press went after him like they did Christine O'Donnell. The sycophant press knew the Democrats were pretty close to losing the Senate so they went after all the tea-party candidates. Reid took Nevada by mustering all the union support he could, O'Donnell had day, after day, after day of attack in the press, from morning until the late shows. If Lugar has that going after him, he's a goner. He might be anyway and that's just fine. Let's face it, the policies are the same, whether h e's there or not.
Right now, the MSM has no credibility and they're again disregarding their responsibilities, as journalists, in the lead-up to the election of 2012. We all know they would never have put this story out, had the candidate been a Democrat, let alone a black Democrat. I heard someone from Politico, on CNN Reliable Sources (what a funny name that is under the circumstances) justifying it by saying the 2 people were paid a severance after accusing Cain of sexual harrassment and that made it a story. I never cease to be amazed at how thin the sourcing of a story has to be against a Republican, for them to justify publishing it, and how they utterly avoid the Democrats. (can you say Bill Clinton, John Edwards, Reverend Wright, Bill Ayers and on and on).
What I find really amazing is they don't even realize or understand the position they've put themselves in. Even if they begin to understand, I'm really not sure they are capable of doing what it would take, to earn the publics trust again.
I'm sure we'll be seeing an expose from CNN and an apology from MSNBC!!!!! NOT.
Vote Republican and only be called a racist one more time.
Don"t worry about the smear job, the media has lost all credibility with it's fawning over Obama and trashing the GOP. I believe the press has made Sarah Palin stronger.
Ah, but she went out in the foul weather, without bundling up, and said it reminded her of home and then started the speech. She's really the one we've been waiting for.
The thugs should realize that there will come a time when those who don't agree with them, will take action and it's not going to be pretty. If the LSM would only do fair and balanced reporting, not slant it to one side or the other, just report what's going on from both sides, this would calm down. I don't believe any school teacher wants to be seen protesting, screaming obscenities and looking stupid, yet they don't have to worry about their local station showing them to the viewers, nor being the short clip on a national ABC broadcast.
As soon as the action starts, between the taxpayers and the union thugs, the national press will try and make it a taxpayer problem. They are just so bad and so obvious.
