This exposure, instead of provoking laughter from those who cheered "Borat" draws lawsuits and investigations. Hypocrisy is surely a Democrat, expecially when it is their ox so throughly gored.

If Adkins is correct and he was LTjg (1st LT Army) then his military rank might now be just coming up on LT (Capt Army). As CofS for the NSC, he had to be at least a GS-14 (LTC or CMDR mil equivalent rank) but more likely a GS-15 (COL or CAPT mil equivalent) or SES (Flag rank). They may have GG intel or some other schedule but that's a high ranking job. To drop 2/3s in pay or more voluntarily seems a little strange. I suspect he was pushed.

I can understand how an Associated Press reporter, dripping with disdain for all things military, might refer to the USS Cole as a "battlehip." To the informed, however, it marks the poor reporterette as an ignorant bimbo.
