The Smart Home didn't grab me until this video. Then, I realized, it is Linda Woodrum's decorating that is so spectacular! Even in the Dream Home -- If I won it, unfurnished, it would not look the same, the pearl mirror frame of the blue bathroom, the coastal candles and simple things -- I would love for her to spend a year redocrating my home. We live in a unique home built in 1949. I dream of being able to go to Ethan Allen and just pick what I want. Linda Woodrum is a wonderful designer. I can't wait to see what she has done with the Smart Home. Although, I can take or leave the Marlin mounted on the wall!

I agree - it is part of her job to lose credibility with the viewers! Also, the woman who won did work for GM. She was not supposed to be allowed to enter. Not that I begrudge her winning, she seems very worthy and I congratulate her. But, I have a whole new view of Monica. If her job forces her to do unethical things -- "just saying".....

This really seems relevant now, knowing that she posted on March 4th that the winner is still out there, although Carole Simpson had been ambushed on March 3rd!

She is now a cashier at a grocery store and has not seen her son in 5 years, who lives in Australia. She also has never met his wife or her own grandchildren. She is a former Marine. It seems there are so many deserving people out there and there are many, many contests to join for the rest of us! Keep your chin up! Things happen for a reason.

It is a bit disheartening to know that Monica Pedersen stated on March 4th that the winner is still out there and doesn't know yet - all you Dreamers out there! According to this article, the winner had been notified on Sunday, March 3rd, just as the rules stated "on or about Feb 28-Mar 4th". I am not sure what to think, Monica. She also said I hope it is one of you bloggers!! Anyway -- my sincere best wishes to the winner, Carole Simpson, from Columbia, Tenn.

Just a thought - if I won, maybe I could hire the Property Brothers to build me a replica of the Dream Home that I could afford to live in! I wonder how much it would cost to hire them.
